My Summer Bag - LOVE IT!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I did quite a bit of research to find the perfect, all-around best bag money can buy. I'm very confident that I have made the right choice. The bag is super lightweight and is big enough for all of my gear for the entire summer road trip.

Hello Guys!
Im 1.70cm tall. Which size do you recommend me to buy? Thanks a lot.
Regards.

Would you please provide more of your specific physical dimensions (i.e. your waist, chest, torso, chest, etc.)? Anything that you can measure or have someone else help you to measure would help me or someone else get a better idea of what size you might need. If you don't know how to take any of those measurements (I especially recommend having someone else around to correctly measure your torso, as fitting a pack based on that measurement is key to comprehensive comfort). Also, I assume you meant 1.7 Meters tall?

A Wonderful Versatile Pack

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My wife uses this pack for our extended trips in the backcountry & it performs flawlessly & looks great doing it! We always tend to pack light & she has used this pack for 4-6 day adventures. Very Streamline & simple. Built to last! Great Pack!

Streamline light weight alpine pack

Works for me as a great day pack for alpine climbing and multi-day(3 tops) ski tours. Minimal features but does exactly what I need it to. My only gripe is that the top lid is fixed. It's a shame that it isn't detachable. Most importantly it's comfortable and lightweight!

I'm about 6' 175 lbs, would the M/L be better for me?

Responded on

Probably. However the best way is to measure your Torso length. There are many videos on YouTube that can show you how, it's pretty easy. If you are between sizes, it's usually better to size up. Good luck!

Responded on

Yes Ben. I would recommend the M/L for you. I use the M/L size and am 5'11 and it rides very comfortably.

Is there a side pocket?

Is there a side pocket?

Responded on

Yeah. There are water bottle pockets on the side.

Responded on

Yes, there is also is a small zip stash pocket along the wearer's left side of the pack. Big enough for headlamp, beanie, wallet, cell, etc. You can see the zipper pull in the photo above in between the red side compression straps.

Nice pack

I ordered this pack and the osprey mutant - I kept the mutant simply as it seemed to be able to fit more gear and I did not need 2 packs of the same volume.

What is REALLY GREAT about this pack is the weight - I test packed and walked around with it - for how light it is, great support.

Simple, durable, and excellent design. Good job TNF!

Bought this pack to use as a daypack and 1-3 day over night trips. I've owned it for about 6 months now and have taken it on a total of 11 trips. Recently just took it on a summit attempt on Mt. Rainier. I previously owned the Prophet 45 and must say that TNF has done a great job updating this pack. IMO the Prophet 45 was over designed with a lot of what I believe were unnecessary features. The Prophet 40 on the other hand does the job without all the extras. The new Prophet 40 is noticeably lighter, but the top lid is no longer detachable and there's no crampon pocket. I wish TNF would have added more cord loops to the main body. Overall the bag is simple and durable and accommodates to all your adventures in the great outdoors.
