is this jacket zip in compatible? i am just looking for a jacket to wear in the rain, and one that is zip in compatible so i can use it in the winter...any suggestions???

This one is not zip-in compatible. Check out the 3 in 1 category under women's jackets. There are a whole bunch of waterproof jackets with zip out insulating layers.
