Smooth, stretchy, wind-resistant, lightweight softshell for your legs? Why yes, thank you. Pull on The North Face Women's Prolix Pant for fall climbing sessions and backpacking trips.

  • Apex Aerobic softshell helps block gusts so you stay warm, and breathes so you won't overheat
  • DWR coating helps repel light drizzle
  • UPF 30-rated fabric blocks harmful sun rays
  • Snap and drawstring waist means it's easy to pull these on over your workout shorts
  • Rear zip pocket holds your car key

Bottom Line: Those sound lovely.

I recommend these pants

These pants were perfect for August temperatures in mid-60's to mid-70's in Ireland. The material is very lightweight and resists wrinkles - great for travel. I washed them in the sink and they dried overnight, ready-to-wear and looking crisp. The one thing that could be improved and give them 5 stars, is increasing the depth of the front pockets and providing them with zippers. There is one rear pocket with a zipper, but I also like at least one in front where it is more handy.

I live in Colorado and go hiking before work, so its cold (0-15 degrees)! I don't want to have to layer up for a quick morning hike. I just want to pull something on and go. Will these be warm enough?

different than I expected.

I thought these pants would feel warm for the winter. Instead they feel like good wicking hiking pants. I was hoping for more of a thin softshell for winter running.
