Depends what you mean by climbing with it. Do you mean wearing it while climbing? If you're going hard, both will be way too much. If you mean a jacket to put on when you stop, the Prism Optimus is the better choice. Quite a bit lighter and more packable. That said, something like Marmot's Ama Dablam jacket would be a better choice, as it'll give you about the same amount of warmth for a lot less weight in a much smaller package.

After some investigation, and chatting with Backcountry folks, I've learned that this jacket does have a climbing helmet compatible hood, but not so good with ski helmets. But, depending on the helmet and headsize, things could work out differently. You can always work with Backcountry and perhaps return if you are not satisfied with the hood. Just a thought, and worth exploring, since this is a nice piece. Hope this helps.
