A boost of warmth with second-skin fit.

Gear up for all your winter pursuits with The North Face Men's Power Stretch Glove. Hand-hugging Polatec Power Stretch traps heat and provides protection from wind, while still breathing and wicking for comfort in high-energy activities. This versatile glove features a reinforced patch at the inner thumb that makes it ideal for gripping cross-country or snowshoeing poles, while its snug fit allows you to easily layer a shell glove over it for your alpine adventures. The North Face has redesigned the fit of the Power Stretch Glove with Radiometric articulation, which mirrors the relaxed position of the hand to improve warmth by allowing optimal blood flow to the fingers.

Solid addition to the gear arsenal

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

Was looking to add a pair of reasonably priced gloves for winter time and decided on these. Great by itself but on a super cold day these probably wouldn't be sufficient. Would make a great under layer for some heavier gloves if they had room to spare. I love the pads on the inner palm which work great for poles. I use them when I walk my dog and I find the pad handy as well. Nice pair of reasonably priced gloves!!!

Fully revising my review. These gloves, though large (and I have small hands) just barely fit. Figured that sending back for the next largest pair wouldn't be worth it, but on first, lightweight (barely) use camping for a week - both gloves are splitting seams in the same place, glove center so I'll be returning. They do not stretch tightly, forcing a split - I didn't use them for anything serious, just sitting around, so hopefully BC will be cool w/ the swap...we'll see.

    Solid glove

Fits well and is comfortable. Good for most mild to moderate conditions, but for really cold weather would need something heavier. Used for X-country skiing and worked well.

    one of my standard choices

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

A lighter weight option, great wind resistance. Enough warmth to get through most days, but need something heavier on the really cold days. Anything below 20degrees, I find these to be a bit light, but otherwise, things are great.

    Great gloves...thin and works well

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These gloves are 2nd pair...i love how thin they are...alot of gloves you have to take off to be able to grasp things....these have great dexterity.....and still are quite warm and wind resistant

    Great fit - Good function

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I've only had these out about ten times but enough to form an opinion. First, the fit for me is right on the money. I was looking for something low profile that I could use with my poles that would provide good wind resistance while providing some warmth. These do the trick perfectly. I also don't like having to remove my gloves to do simple chores around camp and I've found these to serve that purpose well.

Because of their design they can also work under heavier gloves and have proven to be relatively weather resistant. They're not waterproof though so keep that in mind.

While there is an extra piece of material sewn in between the thumb and forefinger, a heavy use area for poles, I did notice some pilling almost immediately on the little finger. Not sure about the long-term durability with these but I've had good luck with TNF in the past.

I also appreciate the very small and inconspicuous buckle that allows you to snap the two gloves together when not in use.

If you can grab these on one of Backcountry's great sales I'd say these gloves are a winner.

    Great gloves!!

I use these gloves on cold days for everyday use and they have stood up to the challenge. They are lightweight, good fitting and surprisingly warm. I use them also as a mitten liner so I like a tight fit and these are perfect for that. My only complaint is the dexterity of the glove isn't the best, but the glove wasn't designed with grip in mind. Overall, great gloves!!!

    Tight Fit

Had to get the extra large for a comfortable fit.

Nice material, stretches well. Warmth is there. Not

to thrilled about the thumb-forefinger guard? padding? patch. It's like they added it on as an after

thought. There's plenty of edge after the sewing seam that catches on everything. Not happy about it.

    Worth it

      Great fit
      Perfect for driving

Jay, these gloves will work both ways. They're great alone for temps down to freezing (as long as you're moving), the Polartech helps block wind, and they give you great dexterity. They aren't nearly as thin as a liner, so they wont fit very well into a glove. I've never tried though... only used them in my mittens and they're okay for that. If you're looking exclusively for a liner check out merino wool liners (those are the best IMO). If you want something that will double, this will do the job.

My palm to finger measurement is 7" exactly (so is my knuckle measurement), you guessed, I'm a girl! The chart says XS, but that seems too small - any females have this glove? What size would you suggest? They don't offer these as a specific "woman's" glove anymore, which is a shame because this is what I've been looking for, it looks like the next best "woman's" would be the "etip" which I don't need but will go with if it's a better fit.....any help is appreciated!

Do you have idea how these gloves run? I checked The North face glove size chart and M should fit perfectly, but generally I am always between M and L. If by any chance someone know if they are on smaller or bigger side it will be highly appreciated. My hand measures 20cm(7,87 inches) - palm to tip of middle finger.
