A wind warrior.

Obnoxious winds can turn an enjoyable day in the mountains into an annoying one at best. Luckily, The North Face is here to remedy that with its Women's Pitaya 2 Jacket. This wind-blocking shell is great for everything from hiking and camping to chilly dog walks at your nearest doggy park. Elastic bound cuffs and hood further limit your exposure to cold winds, while a cinch cord at the hem lets you trap warm air when the wind would have you do otherwise.

Love this Jacket

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I've never written a review before, but for this jacket, it was a must. I love this jacket! It's light, soft and really warm. I didn't expect this jacket to be so soft.

No need to worry

When I bought this jacket, I was looking for a midlayer that would be light enough to wear on its own but could be used to layer under other jackets for warmth. I was not disappointed. It holds up great against the wind, and I love the elastic hood. It fits true to size- I bought a small, and can wear a tank top and a long sleeve shirt under this for warmth. I've even thrown a fleece vest on underneath, as well. I bought the green which is super bright and fun. All around, awesome purchase and not disappointed at all.

HI there I am 5'8 female weighing around 130 lbs and wanted to know which size I should get? My problem is always most of the NF coats run too small in the waist when I raise my arms up. I usually wear a M but am afraid that it'll be too short. I know it comes with the clinch hem cord but I don't want to order a large and have it be too big all over. Any suggestion on which size to order? Is this more of a fitted coat? Thanks Julie

Julie, I am the same height and size as you, and the large is too big and unflattering on me. I will work with you directly, to make an exchange if you're not happy with your choice. Also, maybe a jacket with more stretch, would be better, so it doesn't ride up. The North Face FuseForm Eragon Wind jacket or the Patagonia Wind Shield Hybrid jacket.

How warm would you consider this?

I'm thinking of purchasing for my daughter as a lightweight/rain jacket. Clearly it should work well as a lightweight jacket. What about the rain?
