- Q & A
Heavier that stated
The stated weight was suspect to begin with, but this jacket weight closer to 9 oz. It is a tad heavy for ultralight hikers seeking to trim weight. Otherwise it is a great looking jacket and functional for just about every other purpose!
Great jacket for mild weather
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
I bought this jacket for my 9 year old son in the black with the bright blue zipper. After getting the jacket it appears to be light weight but I still think it will be warm enough. We live in NC so the winters are not too terrible. It is roomy enough on him that he will be able to layer under it if need be. He loves the jacket! He wants to wear it now and it's August :)
Does this have lining? Would it be good...
Does this have lining? Would it be good for 40-50 degree days?
Hi there, and thanks for the question. Yes, this is a perfect jacket for those temps. There is no inner lining, it will be the polyester fleece material you see on the outside. The black nylon area on the chest and upper back does provide DWR protection to help repel light precipitation.
