  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Size Bought: medium and small

I love North Face products and really, really wanted this jacket to work for the recent cold blast happening up in NYC. I'm a petite girl, 5'1 wearing a size 4 in most items. Previous reviews stated this jacket ran small, so I went ahead and ordered a medium. Felt great on the waist and chest, but the arms were wide and baggy; I didn't like the look of the arms, so I sent back the medium and bought a small, which indeed, was very tight around my waist and neck, but the arms fit well. Essentially, the fit was off all around. Style wise, I loved this jacket, but it was just too short to do what I wanted it to do (cover my bum!).

Love this jacket.

I've had it for 2 years and worn it often. It does run a bit small but I am also tall - 5'8" and 120lbs. It's not made for freezing temperatures but works well in the cold. Just wore this skiing in 40 degree weather and it worked very well.

Nice coat, runs a bit small though. Hits to just the middle of my bum cheeks, so I don't wear this in super frigid weather. Once the polar vortex (I live/work in Chicago) lifted I was able to wear this as a daily coat. The elastic on the belt tore after a few wears and I ended up fixing it with a safety pin. The jacket looks goofy without the belt done up.
