Hiking through a rain shower, wet foliage and water just beads off. Crawling or sliding shows no abrasions. I think I will always wash in cold water to save water repellent. Almost too many pockets but worth the price. Four stars because they are too hot for the humid sicking sticky southern summers, yall be grateful if not here, only good for shorts June - September .

These look fuller in the crotch and seat than the Paramount Peak. Other than that, they seem identical.

I own at least 8+ pairs of these (through a couple of design modifications by the manufacturer)and have worn them for week long hikes, working on my creek, garden and in Afghanistan, Qatar & Belieze. They are great multiclimate pants. The pockets are great for storing all kinds of stuff and there are plenty of them. The fabric is a good mix of quick drying and breathable. Integrated plastic belt is great for airport security (as someone mentioned) and the pockets are perfect for ticket holding and they don't wrinkle so these are the perfect travel pants. The price is pretty steep but I've had some of these since 2005ish (can't remember when I got my first pair) so you get your money's worth. I've tried others (including more expensive) but these are the best for me.

I really like these pants. I generally wear a size 30x30 and the small pair fit great. As another reviewer mentioned, these dry pretty quickly. Haven't had any issues with the location of the zippers. These are one of the two pairs of hiking pants I use, they have held up very well.

These are great pants. They dry quickly and are very durable. I do a lot of high altitude hiking and they have not let me down yet. My only complaints are the shorts inseam which is really short (8"). The short hem hangs about 2 inches above my knee (I prefer short hems to sit at or slightly below the knee, but this is more a preference and not really a design flaw). The front /side cargo pockets hit the front of the thigh a little tight on me and can be uncomfortable with some items, but I have fairly large legs. The regular length is also a little shorter than most regulars. After several washes, they have shrunk about 1-1.5 inches. Overall, I am impressed with these pants and would buy another pair. Looks like the TNF Paramount Peak pants have a longer short inseam, longer overall inseam, and repositioned pockets more to the side of the leg.

Hi, I bit the mediums and they re a touch too small. After reading your comment I am tempted to just wash them rather than send them back for the small. Any shrinkage in the waist after a wash?

I love these pants! The zipper near the ankles allows me to take them off over boots. The little security zipper pocket is great. The belt buckle is plastic making it easy to go through security at the airport. They dry fast.
