The North Face built the Men's Paramount Explorer II Hiking Pant to stand up to the abuse that miles of hiking can dish out. Abrasion-resistant, midweight nylon shrugs off branches and brambles so you can blast through undergrowth without worrying about snags in your pants or scrapes on your legs. The DWR finish keeps you dry on drizzly days, and a UPF rating of 30 means that the sun won't cook you when the weather is nice.
Bottom Line: Fully protected, no matter what the weather is doing.

What sort of build do you have? Are they suitable for a tall, skinny frame?

I puchased 2 pair of these pants and have found them to be just what I needed. We recently traveled through Greece and Italy and I was able to hand wash more...
