The North Face designed the Pandora Backpack specifically for women, so you don't have to lug things around in a big uncomfortable man bag. Contoured shoulder straps give the Pandora Backpack a fit that feels tailored specifically for you. Tighten the hip-belt to keep your pack from flapping around when you sprint to catch the bus, or remove it if it's in the way. The North Face gave this little backpack a front organizer and multiple internal pockets to keep everything easy to find. A carry handle lets you tote the Pandora like a handbag.
Bottom Line: Don't be afraid to open The North Face Pandora. Whatever's inside, you put it there.
the color on the front was purple but then straps were a horrible pinkish color. the picture does not reflect this so now i have to pay to ship this back just to get my money back. i would have never bought this if i knew it had pink on the bag. also the bag doesn't open all the way up so you have a very narrow opening in the top. nothing like the old Pandora bags.
This Pandora back pack is very versatile. I get compliments every day I use it. Great value for money and it performs well in yucky weather unlike a leather purse would. I use this for a day pack while snowboarding if I do not feel like getting a locker at the mountain. the hip belt can be a huge blessing when riding a snowboard, but if you don;t need it you can remove it. Rain seems to be no issues for this little lifesaver. The contoured shoulder straps are quite comfy and this bag has lots of room, it is very deceiving. You will love it and the price is right. This is definitely a nice fit for a woman. When the weather warms up I will use it on my mountain bike as well.

I am a man. I am looking for a backpack to carry my Nikon DSLR camera. I do not want to use a camera bag as it attracts attention. Would this be a good pack for me?
I wouldn't trust it for a sensitive piece of expensive electronics unless you could find a way to pad it. As to it attracting attention, you'll find that TNF products attract a lot of attention abroad as well. The shoulder harness would also likely be too narrow and might end up pinching your neck and being uncomfortable, since women's harnesses are narrower. You could try it, though!
I had a 2008 NF Pandora that I absolutely loved! I used it as my casual purse when out and about this my kids. It was ruined on Thanksgiving day and I had to throw it away. So I was so excited to find the latest version for such a great price and couldn't wait for it to arrive. I even posted my purchase on FB. Needless to say, I was so disappointed when I pulled it out of the package. It is longer and narrower than my original and much more stiff. It is actually uncomfortable in my opion. There is nothing feminine about the backpack either. I feel that NF ruined a great bag and I am very sad. I will be shipping it back today.
I bought this pack in black for my highschool aged daughter so she wouldn't have to carry a bulky purse around campus. After a few uses she discarded it saying " it wasnt big enough for my stuff" I wanted a small pack for work and "heck" I paid for it!!! so i took it back and now use it for work and play daily. Short of the pandora name on it, I love it! Its compact, yet holds alot of man stuff. I use it as my primary day pack on hikes and down here in Orlando FL, it holds all the family stuff at the theme parks. Its great for mountain biking, its low profile and with a full sternum and waist strap very snug. I dont recommend it for school aged kids for books and school supplies, "it is small" but its a perfect alternative purse or in my case day pack. Here, I am using it in Spain.
Is the inside of this pack just one open space? Are there any organizer pockets for a pen or cell phone?
I'm a female and don't like standard purses, I like more casual bags to hold my wallet, cell phone, small notebook, and a small medical bag. Will this suffice?
The pandora has one main zip compartment and a smaller zip compartment on front. The main compartment has no dividers or pockets. The front zip has a key fob and loops for pens. On each side are two smaller zip pockets for change headphones and the like. I have a seperate cellphone pouch I attach to the TNF loops on the shoulder straps to keep my phone visible and ready to answer. For a woman, its great in lieu of a purse for essentials.
This was a very stiff, backpack. For the small size I would think it could be more flexible. The front pocket is very small and flat, not very usefull I think TNF could do better on quality too. I returned it.
This backpack is just great. It is small so if you want it for carrying many books, this isn't the backpack for you. It's great for bikeriding, hiking for a few hours, or going for a day at the beach. The straps can be taken off so it's really convenient when you don't need them. Buy it if you're looking for a small backpack that's just for women!
