The North Face Women's Pamir WindStopper Fleece Jacket combines complete protection from warmth-stealing wind and a great lightweight feel for anything from a cold weather run to a day of cross country skiing. The North Face's windproof WindStopper fleece cuts the wind so the wind doesn't cut through to your bones on chilly days. Stay dry thanks to WindStopper's amazing breathablility—say goodby to clammy running jackets. Panels of Apex, The North Face's awesome softshell fabric, add abrasion resistance and stretch in key areas. Bust the Pamir out for a nordic tour, cold weather trekking, and forays into gale force conditions. She can take it.
Bottom Line: Shun the wind and cold in the North Face Pamir WindStopper Fleece Jacket.
I loved this jacket so much, I ordered another one and gave away my other fleece. It is a slimline jacket, not bulky in any way and the sleeves and body are long enough for someone tall, or who doesn't like them riding up. Highly recommend this jacket for casual everyday wear, in addition to any winter sport activity.
I used this WindStopper for both snowboarding and rock climbing. It's lightweight and with a warm base layer underneath, it kept my core warm and not effected by wind at all.
I have always had good luck with North Face brands, and I bought this jacket to keep me warm. It is the worst fleece I have ever owned. It only works when layered with an outercoat on top. But on its own, it is very insufficient. Beware in buying if you are getting this to wear as a fall or early winter fleece jacket.

This The North Face is a must. It is the best all around, use-it-for-everything jacket I have ever owned. For the gear girl, it rules! This last month I wore it hiking up Haleakala, golfing in 40 knot winds among the Fjords of Norway, and it kept me warm--no biting chill could get through, and I could move in it easily. It's not bulky so you don't look 20lbs heavier. Goes well with a Marmot 'Precip' jacket for rainy places.
This is by far the best, most wind-resistant fleece I have EVER had. The liner and outer layer are a complete breathing barricade against the elements. I live in Maine & wear this jacket by itself ALL winter unless I'm skiing (when I wear it under my shell). That says something about how warm this top of the line fleece is. By far worth every penny over the competition's fleeces (even that offered by the rest of the North Face collection). It will last you a lifetime!!!!
My main concern when looking at these layers was that I didn't want to look 20 pounds heavier. I was worried that it would be too bulky and thick under my North Face shell but it is really thin. It definitely keeps you warm and stops the wind without the bulk. It's also designed well so that you can move your arms easily without the jacket getting in your way.
This is a great jacket. It is warm and really blocks the wind. It kept me comfortable for the Red Sox season home opener in April--that is saying a lot, with the wind off of the water.
BackcountryStore was the only Internet site where I could find a North Face Pamir Jacket for my daughter's birthday. I think Backcountry has cornered the entire inventory of North Face clothing. It was shipped promptly and my daughter loves it. I will be back again.
Fabulous. Absolutely protects against the wind. I have and love my Khumbu, but it just wasnt wind proof. This is obviously not as warm as the Khumbu, but perfect for fall days when the wind is 10x colder than the temp. Very satisfied.
This jacket is great; it really doesn't allow any wind to get through and its very warm yet very breathable. I bought it to wear alone and under a North Face Ama Dablam Jacket. When I put it on underneath the outer jacket it fits comfortably, the only drawback is that it is the same length so it does inch out when the outer shell is cinched at the bottom. Make sure if you're buying it to go under a jacket that you're buying the same size or smaller.
This coat stands up well to some pretty strong Iowa winds. The coat is quite thin and fitted but warm. The pockets zip and are easily accessible. The seams are pretty itchy against bare skin but other than that, I love this coat! I haven't tried washing it yet but it is wearing well so far.
