Great bag that carries Laptop

This bag is perfect for a few days with a laptop. I use it for business trips, biking to work and overnights. It is big enough for a couple changes of clothes and some shoes, plus a laptop. It can also be expanded if need be.

My favorite thing about this bag is that is fits very well on my back and is very comfortable even when full. I use it often on my bike.

    Great pack for traveling

This pack is awesome. Shoulder strap and and hip straps have storage so this pack can be loaded full and checked at the airport. It is medium sized, and goes great on the road and in the boardroom. I use this pack for 2-3 day business trips (clothes, etc). It's classy and rugged and has minimal extra straps that get coaught in everything at the airport. I haven't put it in the overhead of a CRJ regional jet but I think it would fit if it wasn't jam packed full.

The North Face Overhaul 40 Travel Pack

After doing some research I bought this pack. With the 40 level rating I figured I could fit laptop and my work cloths in the pack on a daily basis. I workout before work so I need to be able to carry a full set of cloths (shirt, t-shirt, pants, socks and shoes) and work stuff (Laptop, papers). Even with the pack expanded all the way it was just too tight a fit. I could get everything on but the pack distributes the weight awkwardly......It just always felt like I was going to topple over backward. The pack when fully loaded displaces the weight up and away from the shoulders.
There is a laptop pocket and that did hold the laptop very securely. I can't complain there, but for my use the pack was just too small. The shoulder straps and belt felt a little on the cheap side. For $150 bucks you would figure it would have a higher quality system. One positive was that the waist belt was able to be stored away so you didn’t have it dangling around your waist when not in use.
Overall, not a bad backpack if you are carrying laptop and a few cloths but not the right pack if you need to carry a full set of work cloths.

This has been my hand luggage bag now for the past 3 years on more then a dozen international trips through Europe and the Middle East. It also doubles up as my grab bag at work for all necessary essentials in a high risk environment. The clam shell design of the pack makes it easy to find stuff in a hurry, a feature that also comes in handy going through airport security. The laptop sleeve is well placed so you can reach it without needing to empty out anything, or risk losing articles by opening up the whole bag. Another useful feature is the ability to extend the volume of the bag, so you can make space for all the stuff you buy in duty free, once you have passed the initial bag check inspections for size of your bag!! I would recommend this pack to anyone doing a lot of traveling by air.
