I bought two of these jackets - one for each of my daughters. They both love them! They are warm, fuzzy and not to bulky. The size does seem to run a tiny bit small, but that just makes them snug & warm! I'm sure I will buy more of this jacket as my girls grow!

My 9yo loves the jacket. It is very fuzzy & soft. I had a couple of issues even though she loves it. First, for a North Face jacket, its very thin & does not keep her as warm as I had thought. Good for 50's. It runs small. I got her a 10/12 and its snug. She doesn't wear layers so she is fine with it. She is on the smaller 10 size typically. I expected it to be roomier for those that wear turtlenecks &/or sweaters this time of year. It is fuzzy, so she tends to have little fuzzes on her clothes after wearing this jacket. If you keep these things in mind, its a great jacket. Not sure if its worth full price so get it when its goes on sale, if possible.
Great purchase

My daughters love these jackets because they are incredibly warm and soft. They like them to be a little roomy, and I have found that these run true to size or even a bit small so you
Might want to order up one size. Great coat though -highly recommend!!

My daughter tried on the xs in women's Osolita and it fit her with room to grow, what size in the girls would I want to order for her. She likes the colors in the girls better.

Xs in women's is the equivalent of a large in girls, With the exception of the waist being bigger and the sleeves being much shorter. And don't forget to look at the sizing chart right below the select options drop down tab.

As it says in the title, make sure you wash before wearing, otherwise you will get colored fuzzies all over your clothes. The jacket is super-soft and very comfortable to wear. My daughter will be able to wear this on cool days year round! Great price and great service from BackCountry as well!

Bought this for my niece and she loved it. It was so much softer than the regular fleece and I love that it does not look like Denali with the cloth on top. I will say that this runs a little smaller than the normal types of NF fleece. She is petite and a size 10 and I ordered a medium. Fits just right with a little room to grow, but not much. It is a big pricey, so I hope it holds up. Wish it came it more colors, as some girls hate pick. I want to order myself a womens one soon!

The xs an s in the kids jackets is equal to what sizes in clothes. My daughter is in size 5 in kids what size would she wear?
Steven Jones

According to the sizing chart XS is comparable to a size 5-6 and S is comparable to a size 7-8. You can find the chart on the right side of the page under the price. Hope this helps.
Another hit

After I bought a toddler Denali for our youngest, our oldest was feeling left out. We spotted this jacket and ordered it. My daughter loves it. The fleece is extremely soft and warm per her review. While slightly pricey, I expect to get two years of use for her and then two years of use from her sister.

Hey there, it will have a minimal DWR (durable water repellent) finish so if you spill something and mop it up right away you should be fine... but like any fabric, depending on what is spilled it will stain...

Would I be to wear a Girls XL if I wear a womens small?
ako4795239
Member since
Its often really easy, in general, to fit into a girls XL from a women's small, but I find that Girl's sizes tend to be much shorter than women's sizing (things like the sleeves and the torso), so while overall it might fit, it might not be ideal if you are small but longer!

I'm just wondering if the inside of this jacket is fleece too. It's hard to tell from the picture.

The North Face says the inside will feel the same as the outside. So yep, the inside is fleece too.
