These Boots are Perfect

By:
March 30, 2010

During the colder months in Minnesota, I wear these boots everywhere. I have them in white; so they dirty easily, but there are also simple to clean. I don't even have to bring them to the dry cleaners. They are simple to throw on and the faux fur/lining keep my feet very warm. The material that they are made out of isn't hard, so any activity is possible when you wear them. The North Face is an excellent brand. I have never had a problem with any of their products. Overall, these boots are amazing. I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything else.

So So

By:
March 10, 2010

These were really hard boots to find. I wasn't able to find the color I wanted so that wasn't cool. I looked for these boots on every website. They are very cute. VERY WARM! The comfort would be good if they fit. I would say get a whole size less. They are made big. I went to exchange them and they were all out of any size. Now I am stuck with a pair of boots that don't fit. Customer service told me to pick another pair.... but there wasn't much to pick from.

North Face Nuptse Fur III--Womens boots

By:
March 10, 2010

I looked at the comments before my purchase. I love them. I needed something warm, light weight and for walking. I've used them here in MN and in Michigan. They are great! Also, they are comfortable to wear while traveling. I took the advice of others and sprayed them for extra water proofing.

I say buy em

By:
February 27, 2010

Let 'er rip. I have owned a lot of different boots, but, this is my favorite. My daughter got a pair for Christmas from her husband, and loves them too. They are warm, lightweight, and seem to be slip resistance on ice. I'd buy another pair, if I needed some

Great for bad winter conditions

By:
February 22, 2010

I had to dig my car out of nearly a foot of snow the other day--took me almost an hour. Wore these boots and my toes never got cold or wet. Clearly, the snow was taller than the boots, plus I was stepping in drifts and piles. Gotta say they came through like stars. Never had such warm and dry feet. And they seemed to dry off with no sign of wear and tear. Plus I walk a few blocks to my gym in these, and my feet don't get tired or sore--very comfy.

Now if I could only find gloves that good...

perfect for new england winters

By:
January 24, 2010

Love these boots! Extremely comfortable and warm. I was worried that they might not be waterproof and just water resistant, but have had NO problems in rain or snow. I take my dog for long walks daily in rain, snow,or shine and was sick of my feet getting frozen or wet in the winter! These boots solved my problems. I've had them now through a couple of snow storms and REALLY cold weather and my feet have been completely dry and toasty!

I felt the need to update my previous statement from above...I've now had these boots for almost 4 months and finally figured out why they're considered "water resistant" instead of "water proof". One day I stepped into a puddle that was @ least 6" deep and my feet got a little wet through the laces. So they're not meant for walking through rivers or ponds, but I gotta say other than that, they've been waterproof for me!

Basically what I'm saying is if you're worried about these not being H20 proof, DON"T- unless you're planning on walking through deep solid water. In general, for rain, normal size puddles, deep snow, and all New England cold weather, these boots will be great for you! I absolutely love them-still!

I have a previous year's version of these boots, so I'm not sure if they've improved this, but I do have to say they aren't as waterproof as I would like. Even the first season I used them, frequent usage walking in snow leaves the fabric drenched which got my feet wet too.

I have this year's version- this exact pair and I've worn them on long walks in rain and snow with no problems! Mine have kept my feet completely dry.

February 1, 2010

These boots are extremely comfortable. The fur keeps your feet really warm! They are very cute and don't get ruined like other boots. They are also completely waterproof which makes them really easy to clean. The laces also make them easy to put on.
I would definitely recommend these boots.

Warm, Cute and Comfy

By:
February 15, 2010

These boots are fantastic! I wore them out on a snowshoe hike and my feet were the warmest part of my body! I like that the material is somewhat flexible therefore they do not feel as restricting as some winter boots I've had in the past. The fur inside and around the top make for a comfy fit. Cute and functional! What a great combo!

I'm wondering - why was the Nuptse Fur II 700-fill down while the Nuptse Fur III is only 600? Why the downgrade?

There was an increase in Euro Down costs going into 2008, in order to start competitive in that price range the fill count dropped. The Nuptse Fur III has been out for 2 years with a 600 fill count and we have seen no changes in warmth rating. Pick some of these up, I promise warm, comfy boots :)

You're right, they are very warm and comfy (and light!), however the first time I wore them I noticed that a lot of down came out on the inside (all over my socks). Is this normal? Has anyone else had this problem?

By:

I never had a problem with the down on my socks. I've had them for a while now w/no problem. Just the one occassional feather here or there(but no different than any other down filled jacket or blanket I've had)

Wonderful Boots! :)

By:
February 6, 2010

These boots are perfect for snowy weather. I live in the Pittsburgh area and have seen my share of wintry conditions. These boots have kept my feet warm and dry and are extremely comfortable when I'm walking in the snow. Traction is great as well...I feel very sure-footed in these. They're quick-drying and extremely durable, too.

GREAT boot

By:
February 4, 2010

This is the best snow boot I've ever owned. Now in ice, it still slides a little but it kept my foot so snug, dry and warm for 17 hours a day for an event. The weather ranged from -3 to 36 and it did its job. I'm very happy and recommend it to everyone. The boot fits true to size.

I got these just in time for the great flurry "storm" here and only take them off to put on high heels. These boots are so comfortable and warm- they are great for walking on ice, not sure about snow yet. I might find out this weekend if the weathermen and groceries are telling the truth this time.

North Face Nuptse Fur lll- Women's

By:
January 17, 2010

Exactly what I was looking for!!!! I received these and actually wore them for the first time to NYC. I thought twice about doing that because they were new and I was going to do a lot of walking outdoors and wasn't sure if I needed to "break them in" first. No worries!!!!!!! It was below zero with the wind chill in NYC with snow on the ground and these boots did NOT disappoint!!!! My feet were warm and dry. I also found them to be casually stylish. Would buy them again in a heartbeat with no hesitation!!

I live up in new hampshire and am always looking for pretty but warm winter shoes. I have to say these boots offer both. Great warmth below 20 degrees when worn with light wool socks. Very easy to slip on and tie up. I feel this is just another great product from north face!

The wifey likey

By:
January 5, 2010

My wife loved these boots. They are warm, comfortable, and stylish. The only down side, is that she has not real ankle support. Traction is good though. Not for any kind of hiking, but overall a good winter boot.

Gift for my mother

By:
January 8, 2010

She loves them. They fit me too and I probably should step up and get a pair for myself as well. they are light, warm, & keep your feet dry. what more do you want. I like the lightness the best! I have the basic sorrells which are Warm, and dry but are not light like these! My mother is very happy with them. I would definitely recommend to others.

Warm but...

By:
January 6, 2010

Well, my feet have been warm, and these boots wear like a sneaker. The only downfall is that it's only been a month, and I discovered a tear in the fabric on the top of my foot. The material is very delicate; I don't even know if I can sew it up without ripping it more.
So, while I love them for their comfortability, they may not be made as well as you'd think for the price you're paying.

These are nice and light boots, but I expected them to be more robust for light snow activities like taking the kids sledding etc. They are more of a fashion boot and too lightly constructed for any activity besides shopping or a stroll on plowed walkways.
