The North Face Nuptse Bootie II - Women's - 2008 BCS

Warm and comfy! Great for walking around base camp or just for staying toasty in cold cabin. They definitely are not waterproof but they seem to stay fairly dry walking around snowy camps. Nice grippy sole works great in the snow but, I would not recommend hiking very far in these because they are not very supportable, just very comfortable. More of a hanging out boot than a hiking boot. I am a 10.5-11 street shoe. I ordered these in size 11 and they fit perfect.

I have a pair of sierra designs booties that are meant to be worn indoors. They are sooo warm and cozy during the winter, but I have wanted some down booties I could wear outside occasionally. These seemed like a good fit, but when they arrived, they were sadly lacking in down. I did not find them to be particularly warm, so I ultimately ended up returning them.

I ordered pair of North Face Nuptse Bootie II last month and I love it a lot. Great color (dark brown) and got lots of compliments on them too. I warn them between 8-10 hours standing on the icy snow with 20-30 degree outside and I didn't feel any cold or freezing through the bootie or inside my feet. This is water proof boots and the warmest bootie that I've ever wore one, very comfortable with cushion around the ankle and yet stylish too. You won't be disappointment ladies.

I love them! I live in Chicago where snow and slush are a major factor. They keep my feet dry and warm, especially when I am out waiting for the bus at 10 o'clock at night. :)

I bought these boots for camping in northern Norway, above the arctic circle and they are fabulous. I used them as camp slippers and couldn't wait to get them on after hiking all day on the hard rocks of Norway. I wouldn't recommend them for any major activity- no ankle support- but for around camp or a day into town they are like wearing slippers.

I love these boots, they are comfortable because they are light weight and soft on the feet. They are good for wearing in the snow because I did wear them in the snow and didn't have a problems walking through it. Also, the boots have really good traction on the ice and snow. I've even worn them around the house too. The only downside to them is that they don't have much support in them but as long as you don't plan on wearing them in a marathon that shouldn't present to be a problem. I am still new to wearing them but I was quite impressed right away upon putting them on and then later wearing them inside/outside of the house. I like that they aren't bulky on my feet wherein I feel like I can float through the air and glide across the floor like a ballerina (LOL). For a winter boot, they aren't clunky or junky rather they are slim and trim.

I normally wear a 7.5 and wish they had 1/2 sizes because I went up a size and they are a little roomy. I feel a 7.5 would be perfect. I haven't tried them with super thick socks, but it would probably feel better. I live in Hailey, Idaho where we get a lot of snow and I played for a few hours outside the other day and my feet stayed warm and dry. (with thin socks) I love that they are super lightweight and very comfortable. I have seen a feather or two coming out, not a big deal. I was thinking about purchasing these but didn't get them until I saw another lady wearing them and she gave them great reviews and I'm glad I did.

These boots are the best boots I've ever owned.

They are light weight and keep your feet completely warm - even when walking on cold ice and cement in zero degree weather. Plus, the traction on the soles allows you to walk at a fast pace without slipping- even on ice.

Worth the money!

These boots are great! I bought a pair last winter and used them to wear to work, shovel snow, and go for walks. I have found them to keep my feet warm and dry. In a placed that averages well over 100 inches of snow, they held up with daily use over several months. They fit my narrower feet great. My mom borrowed them so many times last season, that I just bought her a pair, and she loves them too! Overall, great boots at a fair price.

Love these boots. True to size fit. Looks like a shoe but feels like you are wearing your warm, fluffy slippers out in public. I like mine so much, I bought my 86 year old mom a pair. Living in Utah, we have a lot of snow and the grip on the bottom is outstanding. Won't worry so much about mom slipping and falling. I may get a second pair in case they stop making them . ..

These boots we're a great gift from my man. Waterproof and warm enough to walk the dogs at midnight here in Summit County yet classy enough for cocktails at the Southridge Bar. Thanks again Backcountry.com!

I love it! I live in New York so comfort and quality is number one. I have to walk 5 blocks to the subway and 2 blocks to my work place, this boots is very light and very comfortable not to mention the style is not so bad. I even wear them to hang out with friends walking around the city (at night!) It's good for cold winter day, snowy and or rainy day and it keeps my feet warm and no blister because of the fabrics. It fits perfectly. I do recommend to order a half size bigger even tho I have small feet. Toes area is wide enough. The strap won't bother you at all, its not that bulky so you can put your jeans over it. If you want to go for vacation and requires a lot of walking in fall/winter season, I highly recommend this boots.

I live on a pretty remote island off the coast of Maine. I spend my winter days on a lobster boat. It gets face-splitting cold, and then I come home to an uninsulated house. I bought these Nuptse Booties to wear around the house, as slippers. I needed something warm, and I also wanted a sole that would take me outside on a dash to the woodpile or the chest freezer. Additionally, there had to be a tread that would keep me from slipping down the stairs. I thought these would be a great choice based on the down and the sole.
The good: As slippers, these are ok. They are warm most of the time. I feel comfortable wearing them on the slick hardwood stairs. They seem fine to run out onto the porch in, though I have not yet experienced their "amazo-morph" grip technology, or whatever. Admittedly, they are not quite cozy-curl-up-on-the-couch-with-them-on like some slippers, but they are serving the purpose. They were true to size. And they're kinda cute. I like cute.
The bad: I got these on sale, but they seem to go for about 80 clams. For that, I feel I deserve more support around the ankle (these feel saggy, despite the elastic inside). Furthermore, they are not very comfy. I have noticed my feel feel tired after walking around in them on the hardwood floors. They should be more cushy, with some down or foam on the bottom. I stuck some insoles in there, but I feel like I should not have to based on the brand name and price. And sometimes, yeah, my freakin' feet are cold. I mean, come on! I'm INSIDE! Under a BLANKET! But OK, I admit it's nippy in the living room.
The ugly: Some people seem to wear these outside, as boots. That seems laughable to me. There is no support, they are not waterproof, and down does not insulate when wet. I would definitely NOT recommend purchasing these with the intention of using them as anything other than slippers or tent booties.
Backcountry as a vendor was great: best price for these ridiculously spendy slippers, and free, fast shipping. I look forward to shopping here again.
