Born from a down-filled tent bootie, The North Face Nuptse Bootie II has extra beef to stand up to everyday winter wear. First, the light and compressible but water-phobic and fragile natural down is gone, replaced with long-lasting 700-fill synthetic down that insulates when wet. Underfoot, compression-molded EVA foam and temperature-sensitive Ice Pick nodes make for a much better newspaper-fetcher than the slippery fabric of yore. While you'll want to haul something lighter to the base of Everest, the Nuptse Bootie II is perfect for your everyday basecamp.
Bottom Line: Summit the driveway in the Nuptse Bootie II.
I love this boot... it has the look of a classic tent bootie, but has a durable and light weight rubber sole that can put on some serious miles. While traveling I often try and minimize the number of shoes I bring, but on a ski trip you have to have your ski boots, a pair of shoes and some sort of boot to kick around town while its dumping. This shoe fills that niche perfectly... because its so light it wont push your luggage into that "over weight" bag realm. and Its like having a down jacket for your feet!
I love these boots! They are great for just pulling on to walk the dogs or wearing to work so my nice shoes don't get destroyed. No laces to deal with makes them fast! They are not waterproof, but I have walked through small puddles and shoveled the driveway with no problems at all. The best part is that they are not stiff or clunky like most snow boots. Everyone is jealous of my booties!

These boots are great for style and comfort but are not practical to be worn out in the snow/rain. I wore these boots to a football game and it rained; the boots soaked through and left my feet freezing! I'd recommend these boots if you just want something cozy to run errands and not for spending a great deal of time out in the snow.
The booties are excellent for wearing indoors or making a quick trip to the store. I have worn them in a couple of inches of snow and my feet stayed warm and dry. Note that they are not waterproof, though.
They are good to be casual. They are not however the best boots to shovel snow in. They are not really waterproof so you shouldn't really get them wet. Here is a good pair of boots for shoveling snow: http://www.backcountry.com/store/TNF3315/The-North-Face-Arctic-Pull-On-Winter-Boot-Mens.htmlThis is what I use. They pull on real quick so you can slide them on for a quick snow shoveling session.
I got my Tent Booties today and i love them.Wearing these cozy booties on your feet is like slipping them into individual Nuptse Jackets. They are incredibly warm and lightweight and keep my feet feeling very toasty.
Since down booties are more a comfort shoe than something you will be doing a lot of walking in, I'd say go too big. If anything, the extra space is going to make them even warmer.
Perfect for the child that needs to slip on a boot after skiing and who likes lightweight footwear. However, the foot bed or molded EVA foam is not super soft, and feels stiff. My sensitive child doesn't like socks but has to wear them with this boot, otherwise it feels weird for him. I think they are very well made for running around in cold weather and it is nice to be able to slip them on. For young boys with adult sized shoe needs, this is easy to get on and off and keeps their feet and ankles warm.
These boots are great! kept feet warm in cold snowy conditions in Vail. Easy to get on and off. This a boot that keeps your feet extremely warm in a casual settings (walks, going out casually, etc). Think of a north face 700 fill down jacket around your feet. There's no ankle support or not to be worn if you think it is going to be wet, but that is not what it is designed for. Great boot, Highly recommend it. My friends wanted to get some of their own.
