Got these for my 9 year old for resort snow play. Light weight, easy on after skiing. Just what I was hoping for.

This boot is warm enough for sledding on the windy city lakefront, light enough to wear all day in school, and is made of a sturdy rubber sole. Sadly, we had to return our second pair because it was too small and you do not stock the next size 7. My 12-year-old son loves these botts and has been wearing them daily since the snow has hit the ground, but the adult sizes are too large and the 6 is now too small. Consider ordering the next size for bigger kids who prefer a slip-on boot that looks cool, but keeps the feet warm.
are these warm enough for snowmobiling?

waterproof?
The description says they are, but the girls version is only water resistant. i would like to know if they can withstand a couple of hours in the snow for snow mobiling and snow play, without my son's feet getting wet. thanks!

according to The North Face website they are only water resistant.
Here's the link if you don't believe me.

Bought them for my 5 year old son and we both love them! He (and I!) love how he can put them on by himself. He wears them everyday to school, sledding, grocery store, wherever. I bring a pair of sneakers to school for him to change into but he never wants to. They aren't bulky and awkard (or too hot) so looks cute with everything and never needs or wants to change them. Clearly they are comfortbale and warm, but can also be worn inside too. Never complains of snow getting in or socks wet. Only thing is I bought a size 1 trying to order a little big so he could wear them next year and they were sooo small. I returned and bought a 3 and they work, no complaints and maybe he'll be able to wear them next year too. Only recommendation order a size or 2 larger.

These are great boots for boys. Very warm and comfy. We are pleased with these!
Loved them but poor design

My boys absolutely loved this boot. They were extremely light, easy to slip on, comfortable and warm. However, after just 2 weeks the fabric on the toe started to tear away from the rubber sole. I just really believe if they were to change the design as far as having more rubber covering more of the toe area this would be an awesome boot. Unless the deign is changed I would not recommend these for child play. I had to return them and choose different boots. Was really bummed about that.
Son loves these boots!

My son loves these boots as they are easy to slip on and have been great for outdoor play. As one reviewer noted these boots are not lined so we just double up on socks but it still does it's job of keeping my sons feet dry.

Hi Carolina - That's exactly what they are designed for, so they should work well for you.

What would be the recommended size for a 2 year old boy?
Dave Drulard

Hi Michael- The XS in the Nuptse Youth Bootie II is equivalent to a youth 10-11.5 size range. Keep in mind this is not infant sizing, so it sounds like it might be a year or two before these would make sense for your boy. Hope this helps.
