How does the shoe fit? Should I order my normal shoe size?

Responded on

I would order a normal size... it can be a little tough to pull on but it will fit right. If you want to upsize, it will be a little bit roomier and easier to pull on, so it's up to how you want it to fit. If you aren't worried about a little roomier bootie, I would upsize, it's like sticking your foot into a pillow.

hard to get on!

I love how these boots look and once they are on, they are great....but for me., getting them on is way too much work! There is something inside that sort of gathers up and when you put your heel into them it gets stuck and makes them very difficult to pull on. Very frustrating and I would not recommend them because of that. If you can get them on easier than I can, they are warm and keep my feet nice and dry. I have even worn them snowmobiling and they did the job.

excellent

Great for everyday wear in snow and slush.
They are warm, waterproof and have good traction. Winter is just beginning and I've only worn them a few times yet. I've worn them on icy surfaces and in slushy snow and rain. I did not slip and they did not let any water in.
I wear them with thick woolen socks for a snug fit.
I think they are inexpensive considering the quality.

As warm as my UGGS and easier to care for!

Great boots -- they are just as warm (if not warmer) than my UGGS boots and are WAY easier to care for and seem like they will last longer. I was worried about the water resistance issue, and while I haven't gone slogging through huge piles of snow in them yet, I haven't had any trouble yet with water getting inside the boots.

Overall very happy with the product, and VERY happy with my customer service experience with backcountry.com -- I HIGHLY recommend purchasing from them!

Awesome Boots

I bought and wore these boots for the first time on my annual ski trip in Hakuba, Japan in Feb 2012 and they were amazing! I was so keen to test them out I wore them on the plane from Hong Kong to Tokyo and had no problems there. Feet were warm but didn't feel like they were going to over heat. The minute we hit the powder snow in Hakuba is was great. The sole has good grip even in slightly icy snow and my toes were always toasty warm. The average temp in Hakuba while we were there was about min. -20C and max. -5C (sorry, don't know what the Fahrenheit conversion is).

I always looked forward to putting these on at the end of each day after skiing. They felt like pillow around my feet. Great for walking around in powder snow that was at times knee-deep (I pulled the inner layer of my ski pants in the boot, and the outer layer on the outside of the boot just to prevent snow from falling into the boot as they only go up to your shins). I also bought the men's version for my husband and he loved his pair too!

I bought the pink ones (got lots of compliments!) and they haven't stained so far even though I was kicking around the snow a fair bit. I normally wear a US8.5 and I bought these in a US9 thinking I'd need the extra room if I wore thick socks. The US9 wasn't too big but a US8.5 would have been a more snug fit with thick socks on.

Overall, I would highly recommend this boot and can't wait for my next excuse to wear them!

Hi, it it 100% water proof? Can i wear it on snow?

Responded on

It's not waterproof, but for snow, it doesn't really need to be. It's water resistant, which we be fine in all but really slushy snow.
