Just got the "High Rise Grey heather", by free 2 day delivery. It's a great vest, warm, not so bulky, true to size. The color is indeed a very light, off-white type of grey, just what I like. I love this website too! They are very helpful. I am going to use the vest on my hiking trips soon!

I like the white vest but am worried about getting stains on it. Is it machine washable?
This is what The North Face has to say about cleaning down jackets: Periodic cleaning of down jackets is essential to maintaining maximum loft and ensuring the long life of the product. Though it is possible to wash your own down product, we recommend that you have your jacket or sleeping bag professionally cleaned by a service that specializes in cleaning down. If you do not have a cleaning service in your local area, you may send your product to the Warranty Department, and request that we send it to our cleaning service.

The "High Rise Grey heather" looks very similar to "White". Is it true or is it greyish, like in the photo on the dog?
The fashionable dog is wearing an older model of the same jacket, which used to come in a darker gray. The "High Rise Gray Heather" is more of an off-white than a gray.

Hey, I clicked on this backcountry add that was advertising this vest as 45% off. Now when I click on it the price doesn't change?
Currently, only two of the colors are on sale. The High Rise Grey Heather and Greystone Blue are both 25% off at the moment.

I love this vest however phop478957 was able to get this vest in black for $119.00 on sale. I am wondering why it is not still priced at that? I would be more than willing to purchase if it were $119.00. That seems like a very reasonable price, especially if this item should be on sale.
Hey Brittney, sorry for any confusion regarding sale prices. That lower prices are for discontinued colorways left over from last winter.
The higher price reflects the newest models hot off the shelves from North Face.
Thanks for clarifying!
The Best Vest!! Finally!
I am 5'6" 115lbs, thin build, 34 full C chest. I purchased the XS. Fit is PERFECT!
Already tried the Patagonia...terrible fit...Way to boxy and short!! Not so with the NorthFace! Comfy, fitted, contoured, not too puffy, feminine! Lots of compliments, and I don't look like I'm wearing a floatation device!

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I absolutely LOVE my new vest! its perfect to throw over a zip up or a sweatshirt to keep you warm and fashionable. And I LOVE this backcountry company and site! They have AMAZING service and I would definitely order from them again!
TNF Woman's Down Vest
- Gender: Female
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
My 20 yr old daughter received this item as a Christmas gift. She was totally thrilled with the quality of the vest and the fit. Just the right amount of down for those cold days without feeling bulky. Thanks Backcountry for great prices and prompt shipment.
Love the vest, the sizing in my opinion is perfect! Plenty of room to wear a hoodie or sweater underneath if you'd like.
North Face is always great quality for the price! :)
I might have to buy a 2nd color next winter!

I love this vest because it's a happy medium between my ski jacket and a light hoodie. Also warmth is not a problem at all! It fits true to size I am 5'4" and about a 34 chest size and the small fits me even with a light hoodie underneath! Also the compression pouch feature is sick! I'm really excited to use this vest for some hiking and touring! The investment is worth it and the lifetime warranty is also worth it too!
I bought this puffy vest to have for the winter time. I bought TNF vest last winter and wore it all the time, so I decided I'd like another color. Can't wait to test it out once it gets colder! Cool color and good fit. I'm 5'4" 115lbs and I bought the XS.
Very Cool Vest
I love this vest it's great. Perfect for Spring, or Fall days or as a layering piece in the winter. Can't go wrong with this one.
color not quite right
The jacket itself is amazing. Athletic fit and true to size. Super warm. Great quality, but the color wasn't exactly what I expected for the gravity purple.
Great so far!
I love this product from NF so far from what I have been able to use its done it job. Comfy, Warm, love the color purple I bought especially at the price. I have all NF products so I love the fact it can zip in my regular Jacket. I recommend purchasing this vest. Again, I live in IL and its been cool weather and I've used it twice and love it.
it took me forever to find this in black and the size small, i think they may have stopped making it?? either way, so glad i got my hands on this vest finally!
Warm Nuptse 2 Down Vest
I love this vest - it is super warm but also light. I've worn it all fall and winter and it still looks great! I'm 5'9, 130 lb and went with the size medium in black. I wear it so much, I'll probably get a 2nd color next year.
The perfect vest
Love my Nuptse 2 down vest. Super light, perfect density. Nice features include the softest fleece lined pockets, deep interior breast pocket for cell phone, etc; items drop down to waist area preventing unsightly bulges around chest area. I'm 5'2"/ 110 lbs, in general wear s/m tops . The size XS is ideal fit for me. Got the whitone, would love to have it in TNF black.
My wife loves it
Very warm and shapely fit through the body - my better half loves it and I do too when she wears it. Color black goes well with everything. The outer material is not shiny - more of a matte finish (which is good IMO).
