Very painful for high arches

I really wanted these shoes to work, but had to return them. I have high arches, and the upper edge cut into the top of my foot and was extremely painful to wear. I do not think they run large, because the toe and heel placement was fine. Too bad they didnt make that top edge out of something stretchy. The idea of having a slip on shoe that was warm and waterproof was so nice, but the execution was poor.

    Runs large, but is comfy

I live in Seattle and wanted a ballet flat looking shoe to wear in our wet climate. These are warm and comfy, but run large. I didn't realize how big they would get either - once you wear them a bit, the interior flattens and now I can barely keep them on. I also agree with some others that the quality doesn't seem great. I would recommend ordering a half size down and only if they are on sale.

comfy, but quality may be questionable..

I usually think of North Face as being great quality, but I bought these a few weeks ago and just discovered that the seam on one of the sides where it attaches to the sole is not sewn correctly and already looks like it could start pulling apart. The other shoe has a small loop in the thread. They are comfy -and maybe I got a lemon of a pair- but not sure how long they'll last due to poor stitching.

    Stupid design. Just stupid.

Why would I buy a "down" shoe that leaves the skin on the top of my foot bare? And why is the men's version functional and the women's version not? Grrr. If only the men's version came in my size.
