North Face NSE Tent Booties

By:

I have worn these down booties in camp on two hiking trips thus far. I've worn them in my sleeping bag on two nights with temperatures in the teens. Definitely no problems with cold feet. There great for those cold nature calls during the night. I have not worn them on wet ground yet, and I am a bit skeptical about the nylon soles. If they keep the water out, I will be very satisfied.

Not warm enough

Wore them in 9F weather in camp with sock liner and socks. The sole is not insulated enough i think. I would go with something warmer for below zero weather.

Good

The inner sole of the bootie does not have any down, and it seems like the lining of the bootie has a small synthetic layer. It's one of those products that you wish was inside out. However when worn with fleece or wool socks these booties will keep your feet toasty. Bottom line: Put you feet in warm, they'll stay warm.

Great slippers!

By:

I must admit my primary use for these is slippers around the house. For a person whose feet are normally cold all the time these have really done the trick; not once have my toes gotten cold with them on. I do question the durability of the soles since they are obviously designed for tent use. The harsh floors of an old new england farmhouse may prove too much for them, but then again they may surprise me! Traction on wood floors could be better.

Be different!!!

I wear a size 11.5 and the large fits pretty snug but i like them. They are a slipper that gets attention. I wear them out when doing errands and such. The only downfall is if you stand in the snow or a puddle to long the sole starts to get wet and so do your feet. But all in all if you're just running in and out of your car or to the mailbox this slipper is awesome. I wear them all the time.

I am wearing them right now. I do not ever want to take them off. Not only do they keep my feet really warm and toasty, they are so comfortable. They are like walking on down pillows. They are durable enough to walk out to the car or do small tasks. I even wear them while driving and doing errands.
