Slide your aching dogs out of your plastic-shell mountain boots, ease your toes into The North Face Mne’s NSE Tent Bootie III, and get ready for a little tent time. This down-filled camp bootie features recycled shell fabric and a durable nylon sole, as well as rubber traction lugs and a water-resistant coating for when nature calls.
Bottom Line: Save your boots for climbing and hang around camp in the NSE Tent Bootie III.
Wheelchair user with short distance in-home walking behind walker. You wouldn't think a product like this would be hard to find at durable medical equipment sites, but they are. The Adaprtations by Adrian booties I have are nice, purposely fit loosely with a long zipper closure on front. If you're ambulatory at all, they slide off.
Searched dozens of sites for booties, mocassins, or slippers. Minnetonka had nothing plain but functional. UGG booties I have had to have soles ground smooth so I wouldn't trip, and eyelets with laces added so they wouldn't fall off. Other down-filled booties with drawstring at the top still slide off.
The elastic above the arch in these booties keeps them on, and the soles offer just the right amount of grip. Thanks very much!

I guide in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge on the north side of the Brooks Range, so even in August & early September, those arctic blasts from the north are quite cold. there is nothing greater than taking off you boots after a long day of mountain miles and putting on a light booty. the Crocs work, but my feet got cold. This slipper works very well and the soles are tough enough to ward off the water, mud, rocks, etc. around a camp site. My feet now stay quite warm, the boots are very comfortable and light enough to justify "throwing in the pack" when every ounce counts.
A must for any winter backpacking trip. They're warm and have a pretty durable sole on them. A little more expensive than other options, but they should hold up better.
Bought the booties for christmas, a gift for myself, have had them for about a month and they are very comfortable and very warm without making my feet sweat. There is nothing worse on a cold day than to have sweating feet. have been camping with them only once since I got them but they are going to be a staple to my camping gear ,as well as everyday use. If you want warm feet without sweaty feet these are the way to go. O n a scale of 1-5 I give them a solid 5. Buy em you'll like em
Fit is a little on the small size, I wear a 9.5 and got mediums... my toes are definitely touching the front and the ankle would be tight if i didn't have chicken legs. Very comfortable, I've slept in them a hand full of times and very comfortable. The soles aren't anything to write home about but they work.
Could these double as house slippers? Am looking for a pair of everyday slippers for my wife and these came to mind. Would this be a bad fit for these boots?
bought mine around christmas time and wear them around the house and yard daily a great fit and they don't slip. They are kinda hard to put on but that means they won't slip off your feet while your wearing them.Highly reccomend them.Enjoy
The thing about booties is that they don't really slip on and off that easily, which for me at least is a vital part of what slippers do. But if she doesn't mind that, they would definitely keep her feet warm when lounging at home.
I bought the Nuptse Bootie III (not the Tent bootie) and fell in love with it. It was warm, soft, just an all around great boot to... wear in a cold room in the house! But it got used for outdoor use, and the sole was a bit harsh to be wearing around in the house.... and then I found out that they sold the Tent Bootie.
No second thoughts, I bought it on the spot. The difference with the Bootie III is that the ankle is a bit lower, there is elastic around the ankle, and it lacks an aggressive sole. It is great for walking around the house, and it will work fine for a quick run outside to the mail box and back. I'm seriously considering buying another pair for the tent (the intended use...) during early spring multiple-night expeditions in the mountains. (Spring time is still very cold in my area.)
All around, I love these. I wish I didn't have to take them off when the room gets warm. :-P (Yes, they get a bit hot.)
Got a pair for my wife and now she won't go camping without them! Her feet are always cold, but one of the first things she does when we set up camp is put her booties on :o)
Have only really used these once so far outside the house. Took them on a 5 day climbing trip and used them at the end of the day while at camp. The temps were in the single digits and feet were fairly warm with just the booties and a pair of heavy socks on. I also walked around camp in the snow a few times and noticed that snow was not sticking to material and they stayed dry even after walking around. Only grip was that the booties were a little hard to get on and off because of small opening at top of bootie, would be better with a stretch material at opening or velcro or zipper but guess this would also make them heavier. All in all a great bootie, light, compact and warm, what else could you ask for.
Bought these for my hubby for when he walks the dog in the early morning - the path outside our door is frequently wet because of rain or sprinklers so the fact that they're waterproof was one of my criterion. They are easy to slip on and the lifetime warranty was the clincher. He used to wear my UGG boots but complained they were too "girly" so now he finally has a pair of functional, "manly" shoes in which to walk the dog! WAY TO GO BACK COUNTRY! I looked around A LOT before I found these - totally recommend.
Keeps the feet and toes plenty warm around the campsite, a nice relief from hiking boots. The soles are durable, and yet nothing on the ground will stick to them, so you won't track snow into your tent. Sizing: I wear a 10.5-11, and the large fits perfectly.
I wear these things in the winter all of the time. Literally from the moment i get home to when i go to bed. They are light enough to take backpacking, you can take those boots off and stroll around in comfort. They hold up very well to the dirt and the outdoors, definitely recommend these.
These boots are great after a long day of hiking. They are super warm and comfortable and the bottom is strong enough for lounging and walking through the campsite.
