Love the vest...warm, stylish and darn right practical! I live in the northwest where I come and go from 40 degree rain in seattle to minus 20 in the north cascade mountains...and it works in both places! But best of all it gathers attention because of its shiny appearance..very cool.
I am comparing a novelty nuptse 700-fill down vest, black pinstripes
I am comparing a novelty nuptse 700-fill down vest, black pinstripes (88% polyester, 10% twill wool, 2% rayon) to this novelty denim one. Would this denim vest be softer, more pliable or are they about the same to the touch. The 'wool factor' in the other one sounds stiff to me? are you familiar with that pinstripe model of the north face nuptse?

Hi - I have felt both of them, and they have very different feels to them. The Denim has a very smooth nylon feel to it, where the black pinstripe has a soft brushed feel to it. There is nothing stiff feeling about the wool blend, it has a really nice soft feel to it, and looks great too-
