If you want a stylish puffy jacket for a night on the town, or a just a heavier casual jacket for walking the dog, this is a great choice. The black lacquered exterior isn't as shiny as it appears in the photo, and nowhere near as shiny as, say, Moncler jackets. The only downside to the jacket is that ribbed hem collar isn't zippered, so you can't snug it up around your neck without actually buttoning the base of the hood. I'm just shy of 6' and 150 pounds, and the medium fits well. Body-wise, I could have maybe gone to a small, but the sleeves would have been to short. If you don't want to spend $1000+ on a Moncler for a puffy jacket that is more about style and design than hiking in the backcountry, there are probably few to no better options.

I suggest a size SMALL. Please understand that a size small is likely to be the better fit, and also gives you the option to layer beneath it.
An extra small is likely to be constricting, and wouldn't allow you to layer beneath it. So go for the size small. Good Luck. Jeff Levin

I am 5'7" 152lbs and the small fits me perfect except for the sleeves, they are just a little bit too long. So if you are 5'4" the sleeves might be a little long on you I assume since you are shorter than me. If there was an XS or even the largest Kid's size that would have been your best choice.
