Midway through your hike is the perfect time to dip your feet in the mountain stream. Roll up the bottoms of your The North Face Women's Noble Stretch Rollup Pant, secure the rolls with the handy button tabs, and wade out into the river. The soft, stretchy fabric helps block harmful UV rays (and keeps the fabric from absorbing the heat) while shadow stitching on the pockets of this hiking pant adds casual style.

Bottom Line: Roll 'em up.

Okay...so I bought these and the Libra Cargo and must say these are not my favourite fit, though I love the style in general. The 2 short is still really big - everywhere - and even though the waist has a drawstring, they somehow just are baggy. That said, I have happily worn them this winter with long underwear and they are super comfy. Definitely size down if you're in qustion and agree with previous comments that they stretch during wear.

Super comfortable

The fabric of these pants is super soft. And, the rise is just right- not too high, not too low. They are very flattering. Great for in town or on the trail. Like most TNF pants, they do stretch out after a full day or two of wearing them, and become a bit looser. However, once you wash them and throw them in the dryer, they shrink back to size nicely.

Has anyone used these pants for climbing? If so, how are they

Has anyone used these pants for climbing? If so, how are they for freedom of movement, and how do they hold up?

Thanks!

Yes, I used them for climbing about 6 weeks ago. They were great! They have plenty of "give" and were very comfortable. We hiked a very steep, rocky, and somehat muddy trail. These pants held up. They wash and dry beautifully, too!

So comfortable

By:

I am 5'8 and typically a size 6-8, depending on the brand- It took me 3 tries with different styles to get it just right, but I purchased a 6L in the Marsh Green color. If Backcountry had my size I would buy every color they sold. These pants are the perfect length (in a long) lightweight, and a great looking, flattering fit. No "mom pants" here! They sit just low enough to be stylish, but my bum doesn't show when I'm bent down or climbing something. Pant perfection.

They do stretch out a bit after wear, and they also have a forgiving stretch in the first place, so I would recommend sizing down if you are an in-between like me.

Great for Hiking or Flyfishing

These pants are comfortable and stretchy-great for hiking, moving and climbing. They are light enough to go under waders and dry pretty quickly. They also seem to shed dirt so they remain clean looking for a camping weekend. I am 5'6" 125 lbs and wear a 26" waist jean. I bought the size 2 long and they fit perfectly. The waist is lower rise, but not too low. I bought the green and am thinking of getting the brown, too.
