Despite the ominous association of The North Face Boys' Nimbostratus Triclimate Jacket with dark and nasty clouds, this rugged 3-in-1 is sure to keep junior warm and comfortable.

The shell jacket's waterproof breathable HyVent 2L fabric blocks moisture and the fully taped seams stop water from working its way in through the stitching. A fuzzy fleece liner jacket traps warmth under the shell if the temps drop. Adding to the jackets functionality are the adjustable cuffs and hemline drawcord, to help to fully seal out cold and snow and the chin guard flap to prevent chin chafe. So, never mind the nimbostratus, and let him keep on skiing.

Quality issue and Great customer service

This is a good jacket for the money. It is stylish and comfortable, however, the outer fabric is not as sturdy as I expected. My 10 year old son got two tears in it doing what I would consider "normal activity" for a kid.

Backcountry was awesome in standing behind the product and sending me a replacement. The whole process was efficient, courteous, and focused on customer satisfaction.

Well done, Backcountry!

This jacket is awesome!

My husband & I purchased 2 jackets for our boys. We were looking for more bang for our buck. Well we got it! 3 jackets in 1 is a great thing especially when you have kids. North Face always has quality made items! They use the outer and inner when they go outside in the cold especially in the snow. The outer shell is great in the rainy weather and the fleece is great for chilly days & nights. It's soft and comfortable. My boys just love them!

Awesome product.

This is excellent i use the inner layer and the outer layer for skiing and it's very warm. I like how I can zip-in some of my other north face jackets and make this jacket even more versatile. The inner jacket is great for those chilly days where a ski jacket isn't necessary. The outer layers perfect for rain.

What is the difference between this triclimate jacket and The North Face Condor Triclimate Jacket?

The two models are quite similar. The TNF Condor will have a slightly thicker fleece zip-in liner. The outer shell on the Condor will also be a little more abrasion-resistant! That being said, it does make the Condor slightly heavier in weight compared to the Nimbostratus.
