The North Face created the Men's Multisport Quarter Sock with merino wool and polypropylene. Although merino wool breathes and moves perspiration away from your skin, the addition of polypro makes these socks three times more abrasion-resistant than plain wool socks are. Plus, these Multisport Socks dry 25 percent more quickly than wool socks. The North Face included cushioning in the heel and toe areas and spandex to provide a snug, non-slouchy fit.

These socks work perfect for trail running or hiking when you are wearing low shoes. Wicks moisture well and have been very durable. Also sharp looking.

The large was too tight, the XL was loose and bunched up. I normally wear a size 12 in my trail runners if that helps. I gave these away, I love my SmartWool PhDs and Teko Merinos too much...

I can't believe I'm reviewing socks. 6 years ago a sock was a sock and a coat was a coat. One day I painfully bought a $10 pair of socks for hiking and hence began my love of sweet technical gear, to my wallets dismay!
Really well fitting sock with no movement or bunching. Don't like them as much as coolmax, but they are growing on me.

I have used these socks for mountain biking and trail running and they have worked out great.
They seem to wick away moisture even after long days on the trail!

I like the nice snug fit of these socks. They work great for backpacking with trail-running shoes because they dry extremely fast and don't get very smelly at all.

I paired these socks with my new Salomon SC2's and found a winning combination. I have a shoe size 10 (men's) and ordered the size L for this sock (thanks to gear expert live chat feature)... Perfect fit and super warm, but breathable sock... I'm looking forward to adding to my North Face sock inventory... Bring on the cold Chicago winter...
