Perfect

Love winter sports & cold climate cities (NY, Chicago, etc.) but hate the cold. This jacket is very warm - only tshirt is needed under jacket in 30 degree weather. Fur is a great feature and the bottom band (per criticism from another reviewer) is to keep heat/warmth inside the jacket and not allow cold air pockets. I am 5'5" / wear a size 4 / 37" chest with 27" waist and got a small so that I could fit clothes/fleece shirts underneath. Could have gotten a smaller size w/o an issue.

not very attractive

lousy shape, unflattering, definitely does not look like in the marketing photo. But it does appear to be very warm. I think it would look better if it didn't have the elastic around the bottom

wanted to buy this jacket for my daughter and noticed that it was $188 from other on-line retailers. they don't have the color she wants though. will back country price match?

Responded on

Mike, you will have to use the "Chat Now" feature and ask them if they will match a price. If it is a legit retailer they will sometimes match it but not always.

Hi I'm Benita and im going sking for the first time and was thinking about getting this jacket. I wanted to know how the XL fits. Im a 14/16 and L/XL shirt size depending on cut. Do you think this coat is true to size or cut for more of the petite size.

Responded on

Benita, from what I have read on this jacket it runs just a bit larger than most of the other North Face jackets. You will probably be ok with the Large. If it doesn't fit BC has a no questions asked return policy.

Hi. Going skiing in CO in late Jan/early Feb. Need a warm jacket that covers my butt for warmth. I'm 5'4", 115 lbs. Usually a small size. Don't want to spend more than $350. Recommendations? Thank you.

Responded on

This jacket will be fairly warm and covers about half your butt.

Write your question here...I need a waterproof longish down jacket. I am always cold, but most down coats aren't waterproof enough for Seattle!

Hey Susan, yeah this jacket isn't going to cut it in PNW winters...you need something with a minimum of 10k waterproofing... might check out the Burton Sage Down jacket...
