The North Face Mountain 25 Tent Footprint prolongs the life of your Mountain 25 Expedition Tent and allows for fly-only pitching. This footprint protects your Mountain 25 Tent's floor from rocks, roots, and other abrasives. The North Face gave this footprint a color-coded design to make fly-only pitching a cinch.

I have a northface mountain 25 tent. I bought the footprint but
I have a northface mountain 25 tent. I bought the footprint but it only had 6 grommet plugs to attach to the base. Is this normal or was the footprint packaged wrong?

You may have received a footprint from 2003 or earlier when the Mountain 25 only had 6 grommets. The post 2003 models have 8- this sounds like the problem.

This footprint also fits the "Mountain Tent" by Northface, but you can't do fly-only pitching when using it with that tent. The Mountain Tent is an older version of the Mountain 25 and the poles in the middle are off by a few inces. You can order footprints for discontinued model North Face tents by ordering from their Custom Cuts department and paying a lot more than current production footprints cost.
