I would give it zero stars if i could. The company could not and would not special order me a new coat in XL because the large ran very short in torso. Also, the material looked very cheap. I have bought many North Face coats but i have never been this unsatisfied. I would NOT buy again. I do not recommend this coat to anyone.

My daughter, who is 5 and loves all things pink, loved the jacket immediately! It is very cute, stylish, and made well. It is soft on the inside, which is a plus. However, I wouldn't suggest it for very cold weather unless you plan on layering a lot underneath. Otherwise, it is fantastic. Of course, it hasn't been put to the test or anything, but I'm sure that since it is North Face, it will look good for a while.
Excellent Jacket!

My daughter loves her new jacket. It is perfect for riding horses in the fall and early winter. She loves it so much she wears it almost everywhere. We sized up for more room. Usually a size 10-12 so we ordered the large. The medium had no room to grow. Backcountry was very helpful too. My 20% off code was not working so they refunded the amount to my credit card immediately. Thank you Backcountry!
Nice Alternative to Denali

This Mossbud softshell jacket is a nice alternative to Denali. Denali feels a tad thicker but this one has softer fleece inside. This is virtually windproof (biggest drawback for Denalis in my opinion is its zero protection against wind) and slightly more rain resistant. On a windy or rainy day my kids say this jacket feels warmer. It's a perfect jacket for spring or fall (not warm enough for our winter in Chicago but I don't think Denali's warm enough either). It's also not bulky so fits nicely in the kids' backpacks along with lunch bags. This jacket is cheaper, too! I know when my kids grow out of their current Mossbud softshells, I'll buy them again in bigger sizes!
Fits Great and Comfortable!

I was looking for another water-resistant jacket because I already have an Apex jacket in blue so I found this one and I ordered this jacket for myself in pink in a Girls XL. I usually wear a Womans XS and the fit of this jacket is perfect. It is fitted at the chest and hips and the sleeves are the perfect length. The inside is amazingly soft. I can't say it is super warm, though. I think it would be better for 50-60 degree cool mornings or cool rainy days and not so much for "winter casual" as the recommended states. It is quickly becoming one of my favorites thanks to the inside being so comfortable, though!

I got this for my daughter for Christmas. I placed the order in the evening and got it the next day!! The Jacket is great and my daughter loves it. I originally went to buy this jacket directly from the North Face website, but they were sold out and directed me to the back country. Not only did they have it in stock, but it was less expensive!
FABULOUS!

Adorable - 12 y/o daugheter LOVES! The fit is right on and fits her like a glove, no issues. Great for brisk mornings and through out the day, roomy and perfectly sized. You can't go wrong w/The North Face. ALSO-service w/backcountry.com was way easy and quick shipping (free at that), online is easy
and way doable.

I am 19 years old, 5'0" and weigh 122 pounds, do you think an XL in girls' would fit me in this jacket?

Hi Linda, you need to check the sizing chart and see if your waist/chest measurements fall into that size... the only other issue with ordering kids' jackets for adults is that the sleeves are designed shorter for kids' than for adults' jackets.

I am 15 years old 5'1 and 150lbs and the XL Girls fit me almost perfectly, granted it was a denali and those tend to run large. I would have probably been better off with a L but the ample space makes it all the more comfortable.
Awesome Jacket

I purchased this black jacket for my daughter. She LOVES it!! I love the mink type material on the inside. I wish I could find a jacket with that in it for myself. The jacekt is perfect for fall and spring weather. Keeps you warm, but is NOT bulky and that's what kids like!!

Recently, I purchased this North Face jacket for my little sister and have to say: WOW! For the price, this jacket is wonderful. The inside has a nice soft layer of fleece to keep you warm even during the colder days of winter. What a great jacket... Thanks backcountry!
