The North Face Women’s Mossbud Fleece Vest feels so plush and silky-soft that strangers and acquaintances will try to pet it, so don’t get freaked out. It does just look too soft to pass up. It also insulates and dries in a snap when you work up a sweat on the trail, so don’t be afraid to take it for a spin in the woods. It does a superb job at keeping your core warm under a ski jacket or snowshoeing softshell.

Bottom Line: Silky, mossy, and warm.

Love this. I would wear Mossbud undies if they made them. Do they make them?

Super soft, long and lean

Love this vest! Bought one for me and two for gifts. It's a slim, shapely fit on the longer side -- definitely not boxy. Runs a little small in my opinion. Green is a lovely, soft color.

Xmas gift

Love this vest! Longer torso that I guess is in this year so it is perfect for me as I am super long waisted. I love how cozy it is and how warm it is and I like the fuzzy softness of it and the color. I hope longer waisted stuff stays "in" for awhile so I don't get a cold back like I used to.

Overall Good Buy

I love the color and the slim fit. I actually wish it was a wee bit longer as I didn't find it that long. However it is definitely not boxy or short. I had really hoped that the collar would stand up on its own but it does not when the vest is not zipped all the way up. In this condition the collar collapses. When all the way zipped it is a little better. Still the color, feel and slimmer fit lead me to keep the vest.

I purchased this vest for my daughter's birthday and I certainly made her a happy girl:=) She has 4 kids and a busy, busy lifestyle and this will be worn for many months in our Northern Minnesota/North Dakota fall and winter.

not recommended for layering

Very soft, very warm vest that's clearly not intended as a base layer, but it fits as a base layer would--slimmer and shorter, compared to most other TNF vests. Might want to either size up, or rock the slim--regardless though, the Mossbud is a super comfortable vest that's guaranteed a lot of milage.
