From the slopes of Jackson Hole to the snowbanks in your driveway, The North Face Girls' Montana Mitt keeps your little one's hands über-toasty. The North Face used durable, waterproof breathable HyVent fabric to keep your girl's hands dry and toasty. When the snow's a-fallin', pull the cinchcord on the Montana Mitt's large gauntlet and the seal the wrist ladderlock to lock out the flakes. Synthetic Heatshield insulation locks in warmth, and if that's not enough, a hand-warmer pocket lets you stash a heat packet to warm up her digits. A removable leash gives you added insurance that she won't come home from school missing one of these bomber mittens.

Bottom Line: The North Face Montana Mitts bring your girl super-toasty comfort for cold winter days.

Call me stupid, but could you please tell me what the leash is for?? What it would attach to? Much thanks!

No one should get called stupid, and I will tell you what the leash is for. I sometimes refer to them as "keeper cords" as in keep your gloves.
1)Loosen leash at far end with platic slider
2)Insert wrist into loop just created
3)Cinch platic slider close to wrist to secure

The leash gives you an additional line of protection from dropping a glove or mitten from chair lift or while climbing.

You can cinch to wrists, some jackets have plastic D-rings on forearms for attachment and some youth styles might have specific glove clips.

Hope this helps!!

I no longer hear complaints about cold fingers or wrists!!! We are in the middle of multiple blizzards and these mittens have been great.
If in doubt order a size larger.

What is the sizing chart for the Montana girls Glove? There is

What is the sizing chart for the Montana girls Glove? There is a glove sizing chart for men's and women's but not for girls. The sizing chart on the webpage sends you to the clothing sizes. Quite disappointing.

These mitts are well crafted and I especially like the cuff locks, keeper strap and extended length to keep snow out of the mitten. They are not quite as well insulated or as warm as i had hoped, but we ski where the highs are routinely in the teens.

Aside of the the color choices the boys seem to fit a little longer than the girls. Those are the only differences that I know of.Hope that helps.

My 10 year daughter has always had trouble keeping her hands warm...NOT ANYMORE! These are excellent for little ones and the pocket that doubles for a place for a hand warmer packet & ventilation is the best as well. They stay dry & WARM....can't go wrong with these, well worth the money!
