Wear The North Face Women's Montana Gloves, which are waterproof and breathable, to ski, snowboard, or otherwise play in the snow. Your hands will be dry inside the HyVent shell and plenty warm, thanks to a pile fleece liner and 120 grams of Heatshield Optimal Technology synthetic insulation. A pocket on the Montana Glove's back holds a heat packet, as if all that insulation isn't enough. This articulated glove allows you to grip poles and equipment with ease. The North Face gave this glove a goggle wipe and a nose wipe to keep you fog- and drip-free.

Bottom Line: Enjoy the powder at Jackson Hole, Big Sky, or any other ski resort with your The North Face Montana Gloves.

Cool Weather Gloves

These are well designed cold weather gloves. I get very cold extremities so for temps below 15 degrees, I would recommend the inserts. The gloves are nice and easy to maneuver- don't take a lot of time to break-in. There are several great features- wrist cinch, goggle and nose wipes, heat packet pocket, and adjustable wrist straps. I would recommend these as a great all around ski glove. For sizing, for any climbers out there, my hand size is about a #1 (+) camelot and so I got a small.

Will these gloves keep my finger tips exceptionally warm? My finger tips are EXTREMELY sensitive to the even +32F temperatures.

My fingers got a little chilly when the wind picked up but it was a rather cold, windy, icy day.

Warm and worth it

These gloves are great. I'm a wimp when it comes to the cold and I love these gloves! It's difficult to see in the photo, but in the top of the glove there is a flap just above the North Face logo. There is a zipper tucked in there that opens up a small pocket to hold a hand warmer. I put them in every time I go on the slopes and it's < 35 degrees or so and my gloves stay warm all day long. In truly extreme cold my fingertips get slightly chilly, but I throw them under the hand warmer in the bathroom and I'm good-to-go another 2-3 hours. I would usually wear a medium, but I purchased large so that the gloves wrist elastic can fit around my wrist guards for snowboarding. My first pair lasted 3 seasons of hard use, and I recently purchased my 2nd pair.

Warm w/ all the features

The first time I wore these gloves was during an incredible cold streak at Snowshoe, WV the week of Christmas. Temp was 2 degrees with -20 degrees wind chill on the first day. Even without a hand warmer I had no complaints until hour #3 and by then it wasn't just my hands that were cold! All week long I wore them without warmers in the insert and was quite comfortable. I'll never buy another pair of gloves that doesn't have a wrist cinch - you only have to drop a glove on the lift once to appreciate this feature.
