Long and warm for winters that are long and cold.

Keep her toasty on single-digit days, and feed her burgeoning fashion sense with The North Face Girls' Metropolis Parka. Synthetic Heatseeker Aero insulation brings on the warmth, and since this long, hooded parka stretches to her middle thigh, she gets extended coziness all winter long. Polyester sparkle taffeta face fabric with a DWR finish sheds moisture, and a removable and insulated hood comes in handy when the weather gets truly nasty. Shaped quilting cuts down on bulk and provides a stylish, fashion-forward fit.

  • Sparkle taffeta fabric with DWR finish
  • 200g Heatseeker Aero insulation
  • Knee-length
  • Shaped quilting throughout
  • Removable insulated hood
  • Snap and zip front closure
  • Zippered hand pockets
  • Internal media pocket
  • ID label

Buyer beware

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large

There are two versions of this jacket that you can purchase for your child from Northface. Backcountry displays the 550 down jacket version, but what you get in the mail is the heatseeker Aero version (read fine print). Its a bit deceiving if you ask me because it looks really nice and puffy (down), but what you get is a much flatter jacket, and no 550 print on sleeve (now there's the catch). Shame on you Backcountry!
