The North Face Metro Jacket for 2011 = a Great Down Jacket!
REASONS IT IS A GREAT JACKET:
1) Substantial Down Fill - roughly 13 ounces of 700 Fill Power Down. This will keep you warm and toasty in extreme cold.
2) Very Light - Weighs only two (2) pounds.
3) Extremely Comfortable.
4) Baffled/Quilted Construction: Prevents cold air from penetrating this jacket. No sewn through seams.
5) Water Resistant and Snow Resistant Coating.
6) Durable-Ripstop Nylon Shell with 30-50 Denier Strength.
7) Center Back Length: 35 inches = Will keep your rear end and legs very warm.
BOTTOM LINE:
1) I RECOMMEND THIS PARKA FOR CITY USE WHEN THE TEMPERATURE IS FRIGID AND THE WINDS ARE STRONG.
2) IT IS A VERY WARM AND UNUSUALLY COMFORABLE PARKA!!!!

No, water resistant. It should be able to handle light rain and snow, but I wouldn't stand out in a rainstorm in it.

it is so long that protect my waist and legs from cold and so warm and light. i am 6,1 and 200l size XL is perfect,. whatever, it is the best down jacket i bought this year.

how cool a long down coat for a guy at last - will need to get one of these but won't stop wearing my many long down coats (mostly womens ones)

Hi James: This North Face Metro Jacket is Great!
I am usually a Fan of Mountain Hardwear Jackets and Parkas, and still love them. However, this North Face Metro Jacket is Great! It is long, so it covers your rear end and is thigh length, has lots of high quality (700 fill power) Down, and is Extremely Light and Comfortable To Wear. I will buy a second one soon!
