Description

Rock-solid bag for trails and summits.

Ominous-looking clouds are moving in fast, so it looks like it's time to move your butt down that mountain quick. Just in case you get stuck in the rain, The North Face Meteor 20 Backpack has a stow-away rain cover so you gear will stay dry. This jack-of-all-trades day pack is technical enough for a quick trip to the crags and comfortable enough for a longer trek to the summit via the twisting backside trail.
  • Frameless construction enhances weight savings and packability at the cost of rigidity, load transfer, and max weight capacity
  • FlexVent moulded shoulder straps and integrated hip-belt work together to distribute the load's weight across a wider area
  • Vertical mesh channel on the back panel allows air to circulate around your back
  • Tough 420D nylon fabric fends off rough rocks, sharp branches, and the roughness of life lived in the mountains
  • Trekking pole attachments keep your poles out of the way and easy to reach
  • Stowable rain cover packs away when the weather turns sunny
  • Hydration sleeve and port holds a water reservoir and keeps your drinking tube close at hand

thanks for leaving feedback on a listing that otherwise has no user feedback. but i think it's a little harsh to rate it based on it's volume. that is something that you should have known in advance of the purchase. were you unaware of a 20L bag's volume limitations? ratings should be based more on your extended use of the bag and how well-thought-out the bag is: the stitching, the seams, the materials, how well it endures use over time, etc... not your initial shock of the size when the size is clearly advertised. there is a growing and diverse market for simple, 15L-20L day bags, i have a few, and i'm always looking for more. the real criticism of this TNF bag is it's price. TNF always exudes quality (like my patagonia day bags), but most will gravitate to something like REI's flash 18, which at around $30 is a deal but has it's fair share of problems (i bought an earlier version for $20). i'm definitely interested to know more about this pack. can anyone else chime in?
