The North Face Men’s Mechanic Triclimate Jacket covers all your bases this winter whether your enduring the frigid air riding up the chairlift or snowshoeing out to the yurt for some winter camping. This streamlined, three-in-one jacket conquers a wide range of weather conditions, climates, and activity levels so you only need for the trip instead of two or three jackets.

  • Waterproof breathable HyVent 2L fabric protects you from the elements
  • Removable, insulated jacket keeps you extra warm on single digit days on the slopes
  • Rotated underarm vents lets perspiration escape so you don’t overheat
  • Powder skirt with elastic gripper blocks out snow and the cold
  • Wrist pocket with accessible goggle cloth when you need it most
  • A plethora of pockets on the shell and liner stashes your essentials and holds your whiskey flask

Bottom Line: The Mechanic simplifies your life.

Big and warm

This is quite an amazing jacket. The inner layer is something you can wear casually or to keep you warm in those colder areas when you're advenutring.

The outer shell has lots of pockets to ensure your goodies are kept safe and can clip securely with the inner layer.

I used this hiking up a glacier, skiing and trekking. It's very warm and repels water like a champ (the hood comes in handy). The only issue I had was the inner layer isn't breathable so you tend to get super hot and work up a sweat - most times I'd take off the inner layer and just wear the outer shell with a t-shirt underneath.

I've got the bright blue version which stands out and looks great on the snow field.

Overall very satisfied with how effective it was for the money, I just wish the inner layer was breathable for high impact activities.

Great jacket

I just got this jacket and all I can say is amazing for this price. This jacket will be so warm in the winter. The jacket is light but has high quality construction. I was skeptical about the sizing since most jackets I buy are a tad short. I am 6'4 220 lbs. I have 44inch chest and 36 length arm. The XL jacket fits perfectly. This is one time where I can say I can't wait for it to get cold. This jacket will keep me stylish and toasty throughout the winter.

Yeah you shouldn't have any problems getting that over any ski helmet.

Excellent Jacket

I have always loved my North Face products and this jacket is amazing. But I give much blind faith when buying form a brand such as NF. I bought this jacket because I really liked the liner jacket and it's regular collar style. It is not a fleece liner, but rather a nylon with poly fill and I wear it almost daily to the office. The Shell is excellent and has seen storm after storm so far this winter... I have never gotten wet and it has plenty of vents and breathes well. So, if your looking for a new jacket that has amazing street style, functional pockets, and is all-weather ready... look no further.

An amazing jacket designed by a skier for a skier. An extremely breathable jacket with great waterproofing and several pockets exactly where you want them.
