Good Boot, not my size

The boot is well made, should stand up to years of use. Nice looking. Unfortunately have not been able to get a good fit. Have tried 2 different sizes. The North Face sizing recommendations were no help to me. TOO BIG. Thought the 2nd pair fit other than being loose in the heel area. I tried them on with medium weight wool socks. My toes seemed to be crammed into the ends of the boots. A half size larger and my heel would have been swimming. So, I'm disappointed and have sent the boots back.

These boots are awesome! They are quite wide and make you feel like a walking robot, because they are bigger than normal boots, but you're not aiming for fashion here. It's more about function. These are super warm, keep the snow out, and slip-resistant! They are not constricting...ran in the snow for several blocks with my daughter! I'm petite and 5 feet tall and the size was perfect and although I felt like robot girl in the beginning, i broke them in quickly and was comfortable. One caveat...they are difficult to drive in....so wear the fashionable boots to do that :)

Yay! I've had these little ladies for a couple years now and they're still kickin'. I can snowshoe, shovel, and just tromp around in them and my feet stay warm. I also only need to wear a normal hiking sock; my thick mountaineering socks are too much. My only beef with this shoe is the faux fur around the top and for myself, they could be just a tad higher. These definitely keep the feet dry and comfortable. I have shelved my pac boots and just use these now. Way better.

Field tested & proven! My home in MN got over a foot of snow this weekend and its 4 degrees right now... The McMurdos made it through hours of shoveling snow and are comfortable, waterproof and most importantly, warm!
Money well spent~

Just bought these boots for my wifes birthday, right out of the box she fell in love with these boots. She was looking for a pair of boots to withstand the harsh winters of upstate VT. She claims they are very warm, and I think they look really good with a pair of jeans. She plans on using them with her snowshoes. We have not been out yet, but the test fit, fit perfectly.

Replaced a pair of Columbia Boots with these. These are toasty warm and fairly comfortable. First couple of times, the back of the calves was a bit stiff, but that seems to be loosening up a bit now. I wear an 8 and got an 8, and have worn them with one pair of thick socks and that worked out just fine. Arch support is fine which is a big deal for me. I would recommend these boots to anyone.

are awesome! My feet stay warm and have enough support that they dont hurt after walking in them the whole day. Ive walked through snow and puddles and it is for sure waterproof! i love them! Sometimes i wish they were a little taller, though.
really cozy

these boots invited my feet in they are very cozy and sure can get you through the snow. They are easy to slide on and off the feet even though they are somewhat tall. My only criticism is that they don't allow a lot of ankle movement so I feel a little frankensteiny in them but I can live with that.
Great Boots

Very light weight for a winter boot.
Keep your feet very warm with just one pair of light weight socks.

HI, Are these boots good for moderate winter hiking? I hike with a baby in a front carrier, so need a lot of support and traction.
Thanks!

I was worried that my boots wouldn't fit as I have wide feet but they are absolutely perfect. I love everything about them.
Great choice!

These boots are great. Very warm, keep your feet dry. I haven't had any trouble with the sizing. I wear an 8 and bought an 8. The fit quite comfortably. I can even put on some thick winter socks for extra cold weather. These will definitely keep you feet comfortable in cold, snowy weather. And the traction keeps you vertical in slick conditions.

The best boots but do run a little small, i am an 8 and I got an 8 and it was too tight for me, had to return them. So size up 1/2 size:)))
fabulous!

these boots rule. so warm. great traction and comfortable. i have walked for hundreds of miles for weeks at a time as well as just cruising around the city. they are also very low profile for being such a "big" winter boot.
