t my only disappointment is wth the site itself. I did not know that the front was not a leather front, it is more like a rubber galosh. For the look of it on the picture, if you want it to be a everyday boot to wear inside of a building all day, like a timberland or leather boot, it is not possible. Because of the rubber look , it looks more like a rain or snow boot to be removed once you enter a building. I would like a category of boots that are everyday, leather, weatherproof boots, that can be worn all day inside and outside, so that when a customer looks at them they can be sure of what they are getting.

True, they don't actually say that the bottoms of these waterproof, weather resistant, thermall protection (-40 f) rugged SNOW boots (with "ice-pik" tech.) are rubber...(it seems obvious in the pic. but they should declare it, I guess). Had all the above boots at some time, they do not have the tech. or built as well as these, though. These are made for rough weather, not the mall/office...and they don't pretend to be!

I wear a size 9-9.5 street shoe. I ordered the 9 and they fit great. Keep in mind they will pack out a bit if they're tight.
Can't wait to rock these to the hill this year!

I read the reviews, read the sizing reports and bought this boot in my size. It is at least a size and a half too small. But what bothers me is having to pay $6.99 out of my own pocket for the return. I will never shop at back country again due this "easy" return policy. Everyone's reviews praise backcountry for their no questions asked unlimited return policy, but don't be blind-sided. You WILL pay for each return, even it if take three tries to get boots that fit you

I agree. my gloves ripped at no fault of mine and they offered me free return shipping. if it was my fault I would pay to ship them back.

I normally wear a size 10 1/2 in a normal shoe...... and so I ordered these in a size 11 to be safe. When I received them, I could hardly fit my foot in there. I ended up returning them twice for larger sizes, and finally ended up with a size 13. These fit really well, and are extremely warm. I wore them in the Colorado mountains where the temperature was in the low teens and my feet were perfectly comfortable. I didn't even have thick socks on, just normal thin hanes ankle socks. I am very impressed with the quality of these boots and their insulation!! A great buy!

He's right; the same thing goes for the ladies' sizing: I ended up having to go a whole size up. Other than that, they are the best! Great support, everthing that claimed is so. PLUS, they look cool!

I wear a size 8.5, do you suggest I buy a size 9.5?

Yes, I would (and had to) go one whole size up. Even when the fuzzy lining packs down a bit, you still will need the length for toes...they run small for both width & length. If in the event they are a tad too big (which I really doubt), you can always add insoles, or even exchange, of course. My feet are rather small (even for a woman), but the half-size up was still too snug, even with regular socks. You WILL love these!
