This beanie is a better fit for normal heads...The Caden Beanie from North face is a little small for normal people...I prefer this one over the Caden...This is a nice stretchable wool with a fleece liner on the inside to keep your ears warm...I can say that this beanie and the North Face Bones Beanie are the same fit for me....The only difference in the two is the design... At least this Beanie gives you a little more choices in color design then does the Bones Beanie...
Love it

Very warm. One of my favorite beanies. I just order a new one since my last one was stolen at a ski resort. It is warm and does a great, comfortable, and does a great job wicking. Wind protection wasn't too bad either on the slopes!

Great hat for cold weather. Fits my odd shaped head perfectly, dries quickly after it gets wet. Have had it for a while with no problems. Recommended

This is a great beanie - probably the best I've ever owned, with one exception (below). It's warm, comfortable, fits well and looks great.
Only slight downside is the care instructions. It says it requires dry cleaning. I didn't read it first (I know - it's my fault for not checking). I washed it in cold water, gentle cycle, no dryer - it still shrunk a LOT.
Definitely a worthwhile purchase - just make sure you dry clean only. I purchased a different NorthFace beanie as a replacement - one that can handle cold water washing.
On the positive side - my 4 year old son has a great new beanie!

Bought 2 of these for christmas gifts. Blue one has not fallen apart but the black one is unstitching from the top at the seams. So disappointed with quality of sale items. Now I can't get black one to match, for same price, with daughters black coat. Really bummed and certainly disappointed.
Nice - but tiny

I don't have a particularly large head. I wear hat size 7 1/4, but this beanie was too small for me. It's too tight on my head, and barely covers my the bottom of my ears.
If it fit, I'd love it. The fleece ear lining seemed nice.
Very disappointed that North Face only has a "one size fits all".

I agree the hat runs very small.

This beanie really keeps your nugget warm when snowboarding! The inner fleece liner really keeps your ears nice and cozy when raging down the slopes!

I have a hat that is almost identical to this: the fleece lining is just the 2-3" that goes around your forehead and ears. I have to say this hat is absolutely phenomenal in its versatility, and it looks great too. I live in Alaska, and this is definitely my go-to mid-weight/warmth hat for moderate activities.
Perfect hat

I accidentally threw my first one in the washer and shrunk it. As soon as I realized what I'd done, I ordered a new one. I simply cannot do winter without this hat - it's the right length to cover my ears without being too long, it's not too pointy, and the fleece over the ears is so warm and soft. Perfect.

Don't dock the hat points because you didn't read the care intructions.

In all fairness, this hat is an abnormality. Its label states dry clean only. I wasn't prepared for that and inadvertantly washed it in cold water, without dry cleaning. It also shrunk down significantly.
Odd that the hat requires dry cleaning. I bought another North Face hat as a replacement, but chose a different one that allowed for hand/cold water washing.
The good news is that my 4 year old son got a nice beanie out of it, though!

Great Hat! It's very warm and is extra soft inside. However, the hear is very small... I am a petite XS person, and I still think the hat is a bit too small.

This hat is REALLY warm! The blend of a fleece liner and the wool exterior makes it nice on the ears, yet still gives you all the benefits of a wool shell. Overall, a great choice for keeping your noggin' toasty on those cold January mornings.
