Your princess zips up The North Face Girls' Little Wing Fleece Jacket and tackles cold-weather adventures in comfort and warmth. Polartec fleece insulates her core, and snap-in compatibility connects to The North Face's compatible shells. The Little Wing's elastic-bound brushed collar protects her neck without causing discomfort after an active day in cool air. She can pick up neat rocks along the trail and rub them for luck in this fleece jacket's handwarmer pockets. The Little Angel's drawcord system customizes this jacket's fit and helps to lock out the elements.

Bottom Line: The North Face Little Wing Fleece Jacket gives your angel a warm lift.

The jacket is light and warm. True to size. Still soft after multiple washings.

I am 5'0" and weigh the same as you. I got myself a size L jacket, it is a little bit roomy but the sleeve length fits just right. Since you are taller than me by 3", I suggest a size XL. Also, from a practical point of view, you will get taller and this beautiful and comfy XL jacket will still fit you next year.

Great Jacket

By:
May 13, 2009

This is a medium weight perfect for spring and fall. I ordered a large youth and it fits my 5'1" 90lb daughter perfectly with room for her to grow into it. It also fir my 5'8" daughter but was a bit short in the arms. It is soft and slightly furry. It also washes beautifully with Tech Wash(a soecial cleaner for fleece). I would highly recommend this jacket!!!! :)

TNF Little Wing Fleece

By:
November 17, 2008

I bought this for my 7 y.o. daughter and she loves it. We live on the Coast of Oregon and this is light but soft and warm. I would however like a shell to buy over it for the rainy days as it is not waterproof.

It all depends on what sort of temperature and weather conditions you will be wearing this in. It would work just fine in a drier cold down to about the low 30's. If there is any precipitation you will eventually get wet though.

hope this helps

Just like the reviews said... so soft and surprisingly warm

By:
December 1, 2009

Mom loved it- I really didn't believe the reviews saying how soft it is... Mom's friend accidentally rubbed up against it, and she had to feel it again- couldn't believe it. Although I read that it keeps its softness after washing- I haven't tested this out yet.

Daughter loved it- She thought it wouldn't be as warm as it is. She also loves how soft it is- wanted to sleep in it. She has found out that it's too warm to wear around inside.

It depends. In Savannah, Ga. it is plenty warm for most days, but it is probably too light if you live up north. It is a very soft fleece and looks good, but if you live somewhere that has freezing winters, then you may want something warmer.

Very pleased

By:
January 11, 2010

The jacket came quickly during the x-mas season rush. I was surprised at the actual size of the girls XL. Rather than buy an adult small, I selected the girls XL and found I could of actually went with the girls large. My daughter is 16 years old, 5'4" and weights 125lbs. Bottom line the girls sizes are cut larger than you might expect, not a bad thing, just something you should be aware of when ordering. BTW girls sizes are considerably cheaper than adult sizes.

Bought 1 for my daughter(9) and 1 for my niece(8) - they both didn't stop wearing them the entire winter vacation - under their winter jackets while playing in the snow, in the car on road trips, to the mall, everywhere we went!!! Super soft, warm and stylish too.

does this fleece zip into all north face shells? My daughter currently has a shell. Although I can't say for sure what type it is. It looks like the resolve and Mountain light. It has a zipper in the inside of the jacket for another coat l just don't know which one. Her current shell has a removable hood and says hyvent written on bottom of both sleeves.Write your question here...

Hi Trude - it sounds to me like you have the Mountain Light Jacket because the Resolve is not zip-in compatible. The Little Wing will zip-in if have that extra zipper on your shell.
Hope this helps
