Lily Thermal Jacket - Women's

The North Face made the Women’s Lily Thermal Jacket with a unique, quilted design. This way you can sport a subtly decorative jacket that won’t make you look like a walking flowerbed. Heatseeker Eco insulation uses 100% recycled polyester fiber for warmth and earth-friendliness. The Lily is also compatible with The North Face snap-in shells.

Bottom Line: Winter lilies.

VERY short

By:
August 18, 2010

have to agree with the previous review. This jacket is VERY short. I am 5'3" and about 115#. The small size usually fits well for me. For this jacket, size small is way too small, too short and too tight. I have to return it for something else. I gave it 4 stars because after all, it is still a beautiful jacket. The "black" one is a very nice charcoal (like what others said). It is thin, but pretty neat! I would recommend you order a size up.
I have been shopping with Backcountry for many times, still very pleasant shopping experience. Fast shipping and easy return policy. This website is so far my favorite online shopping place.

I have this jacket/liner and I love it. It isn't quite warm

I have this jacket/liner and I love it. It isn't quite warm enough for the winter weather... if I buy a shell will that make it warm enough for winte Also I've found that it's snap in compatible and not zip in.. is snapping it in comfortable or annoying? Should I invest in a zip in compatible liner? Thanks!

Too short and thin

By:
January 6, 2010

This jacket is very short, very thin and not black but a charcoal color. If you are short and not looking for warmth this jacket might be okay. Will be returning for the Denali jacket which is more money but worth it.

Runs pretty small. The pretty flowery stitching gets caught on the zipper if you wear it open. Then you have hanging loops/strings...I don't find this rugged, as the sleeves attract cotton, which looks like pilling.
I live in North Florida and this jacket just isn't very warm. Good for days that the weather is above 45. My first NF jacket, and a bit of a disappointment.

It's lightweight but gives just enough warmth for the chilly days/nights. It doesn't snow where I live but it does get cold and this jacket is perfect.
I got the Geisha Red and the picture looks more of a true red, but it's actually a fire orange-red color. So if color isn't a big deal, the price is! I highly recommend it. Oh, and the stitching is a plus!
My only disappointment is that there are no more black ones in my size :(

Poor

By:
February 8, 2010

I really loved the Jacket when I received it. The jacket was very poor quality. The first couple of days the treads started coming out og the quilting and the stuffing was coming out. Sent this on back.... Not happy I have to pay for returning the Jacket.

I have a North Face shell and I'm looking to get a new liner for it. This one looks nice, but I wanted to see if anyone had any other recommendations. I don't really care about the brand as long as it fits inside my shell.

Cute Jacket!

By:
February 13, 2010

I love my Lily jacket. I originally ordered a size small but found that the arms seemed a bit bulky and returned it for an xs. Fits perfectly! I get a lot of compliments. It is not a heavy winter coat, but perfect for chilly weather.

This jacket is not only warm enough for New England winters, but has a quiet style that is perfect for the city and works in the country too. The fit was a little iffy, the LG sleeves were very long and med is just a teeny bit snug on my 128 lb 5'2" frame, but I stayed with the med and absolutely love it. I get compliments where ever I go.

I had tried this Jacket on in a store and liked how it fit..although I needed a size bigger than I usually wear..I decided to order from Backcountry as I had other things to order and their price as usual was great as is their shipping and return policy..anyway when I received the jacket I decided to return it because it just wasnt warm enough for cold northern minnesota winters with out alot of layering..Backcountry was great about returns!! that is a plus!!

Love this jacket. I live in the D.C. area and it is very cold here in the winter but for me, this jacket is perfect. It is def not a winter coat. Runs a tad small. My denali is a size large, found I needed and X-lg in this one. The color is gorgeous. Get many complements,

Black jacket should be called charcoal

By:
January 5, 2010

Don't order this jacket in black if you really want a true black. Online it looks black, and that's what the color is called, but it's not. It should be called gray or charcoal. I held the Lily up to the black Denali I'm wearing and the colors are not even close. I like this jacket, I have it in other colors, but I was looking for a black jacket, so I'm returning this one.

Great lightweight jacket, but is short

By:
January 14, 2010

I just received this & found many of the previous reviews to be correct. It is short, but I am on the petite side so I do not mind, but I think it would be an isssue for someone of average to tall height. It has a nice trim cut, no baggy waist.
It is on the lighter-weight side but has kept me warm in around 40 degrees so far.
The "black" I ordered is more of a charcoal color, as others have said--which is what I actually wanted, but if you are looking for true black you will be disappointed.
Great service, communication from Backcountry as usual!

North Face Lily Thermal

By:
December 9, 2009

I love this jacket. I exchanged the Redpoint jacket for this one because the Redpoint fit was too big and puffy, but this is a very trim fit. Very light weight, but very warm and toasty coat...love it and want one in every color.
