North face women's Kira 2.0 and Kira triclimate jacket is the same model or not.

Hey Saert
It looks like the Kira jacket on our site and the 2.0 on North Face's site are the same. I'm sorry for the confusion and I hope that this clears things up.

Need Tall Sizes

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

I absolutely LOVE the jacket however had to return it :-( They just don't make them for tall people.... I would prefer a bit longer in the length but more importantly the sleeves NEED TO BE LONGER... SAD!!!

Great jacket!!

  • Fit: True to size

I did many comparisons on jackets before settling on this jacket. I LOVE the Borealis Blue because the yellow insert is awesome too!! I am bummed there is no waist skirt or wrist gators, but I really liked the colors and the removable inner jacket. The face area seems comfortable, so no harsh zipper face! I am 5'6 and prego at 134 pounds and it fits perfect, but it will be for after pregancy which will give me a bit more room if I layer, which I usually only do one fleece layer anyway. I am excited, I am trying this jacket tomorrow on the hill with the kiddos!!

Gigantic hood!!!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

I'm 5'4, 128lb, ordered the medium borealis blue. The size medium fit great and I probably could've even gotten a small -- the jacket is roomy and not form-fitting so there was room for layers underneath. The colors are bright, so if you don't like bright colors, don't order it (think highlighter yellow for the zip-in jacket), but I must admit the blue-green jacket is really pretty. All that being said, the hood was HUGE!!! My previous jacket fits a snowboard helmet underneath it and it's nowhere near as big as the hood on the jacket... even cinching it down barely helps. I can't imagine wearing it on a cold, windy day in New England with precipitation... My whole head would be soaked... so, sadly I had to return it.

That is because it is generally for using a helmet!!

I am about 5'6 and 120 pounds, would I need a small or a medium in this jacket?

Responded on

I would recommend the Medium in The North Face Kira Triclimate Jacket to allow for some standard baselayers underneath.

I got a small and it will be perfect, but thank you!!
I am a pretty active skier so I do not base layer much, usually a fleece underarmor is all. This jacket is beautiful, I am excited to have it, I just wish there was a snow skirt and wrist gators! Then it would be the Bomb!

Lacking style points

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

I ordered this jacket in the greystone blue to go with the sweet orange TNF freedom pants. While there's nothing technically wrong with the jacket, it just didn't meet my expectations style wise. The liner jacket is not like the picture - the zipper is grey instead of orange, and the inside collar is white instead of grey, which I'm sure will look dirty after a few full days of skiing. Keep in mind this is not a performance review. I'm sure this jacket would perform fine technically, but it just didn't look that cute on me and overall was kind of blah. I think I can do better.

Great Christmas gift

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

Bought the kira triclimate as a Christmas gift for my wife. She was thrilled with the gift and even more so with its performance. The jacket is lighter than what she had but provides more warmth. Great price, great performance, and quick delivery. I highly recommend this jacket from Backcountry
