Comfortable Casual Jacket

I got this jacket for casual wear and it does what it's supposed to, keep me warm. Zipper works well on the main zip and the pockets. I'm 5'10'' and got the medium.

I bought this as a 'transition season' jacket. Living in New England, we don't see much in the way of a Spring until early June so this jacket is an ideal lightweight jacket for Spring/ Fall hiking, walking, biking, etc. It's perfect for hiking in cool weather and zips up to cover you neck when needed. I love that soft fleece material, it feels like a fuzzy, warm blanket. Great buy when priced under $60 like when I purchased it. I opted for a full zip versus a pull over this go round, just my own personal preference there and I'm glad I did.

I bought this jacket to wear golfing and hiking in our mountain community. It's perfect when worn over a turtle neck or layering with a light thermal shirt and is not at all bulky. My wife started borrowing my NF 300 fleece jacket and it was obvious that she needed her own! The jacket is well-made, true to size and a great addition to our winter wear . It didn't hurt either that we also bagged these great jackets at 30% off!
Great for cool weather

This jacket is NF quality. Keeps you warm. Not good for windy conditions. Wind cuts right thru when worn on its own. Size was good using chart. I use mine for backpacking because it is light weight. If it gets windy, I just put on a NF rain jacket. That keeps the wind out and me warm.
Best all around cold weather jacket!

This is a great jacket! A minimalist Denali jacket. Same 300 Polartec fleece but w/o the extra pockets. I can wear this jacket when the temps go down to the low 50'sor even in the high 40's here in the bay area in Ca. w/only a TKA 100 fleece underneath. It's also a great mid-layer insulation under a shell. The only thing I wish for is a hooded version that is windproof and a smooth taffeta lining inside so that when you slip your arms inside if your wearing a long sleeve, it doesn't bunch up. It just goes in smoothly.

This is a great jacket for pretty much anything you want to do in 35-55 degree weather (except if it's raining, its not meant for that). Its flexible and soft, and therefore comfortable. It also has drawstrings at the waist line that you can adjust. I would definitely recommend it.
Wear it Daily!!

Great quality; warm; looks fantastic. Can dress up or down. Basically can use it for most occasions. Not bulky, but also not compact either.

My Grandfather is a big man, 6'3" 225. This jacket was a little small in the XL. Going for the XXL for the perfect size, but the color was just what he was looking for as the owner of Texas Reds Steakhouse.
Good For A Midweight Fleece

The big thing to remember with this jacket is that it is a midweight fleece, meaning that if you want to take it hiking, its going to take up a LOT of room in your pack.
That said, if you want the comfort, and have the room, it is a very comfortable, and very warm jacket that I would gladly take anywhere alpine.
Kept me warm in 0 - 3 degrees Celsius, and when worn under my Ridgeline rain jacket/windstopper, it was brilliant when icy winds came in.
That said.... this is not a lightweight jacket, so if you want to go compact, this may not be the jacket for you.

I like the jacket but it has some smell. I need to wash it before I take it.

Pretty much what you'd expect from a North Face fleece--very warm and soft, but for some reason the one I received was HUGE. I normally wear an XL in just about everything (Marmot XL is slightly loose, Arc'Teryx XL is trim) but this XL felt like a XXL. I could layer this fleece over another heavy fleece and still have room for more. Will try a Large but hope the sleeves will still be long enough.

My grandson loves the jacket. He generally likes a jacket a little longer, but he said this jacket was very warm and light enough to put in his backpack

My Boyfriend is 6'2" and weighs about 165 - 170 lbs - he's pretty skinny. What size do you suggest? Will the sleeves be short??

Check out the sizing chart up by the price and dropdown menu. The sleeve length may be an issue. Best of luck!

I won't leave the house without it. This fleece is excellent when paired with a shell on a cold day. It performs well on it's own in 40+ degree temps.
