Description

An insulated shell and a warm, removable sweater-fleece liner.

There's no end to how warm you can get with The North Face Women's Kallispell Triclimate Jacket. The HyVent 2L waterproof outer jackt handles rainy days in late fall or early spring by itself, and it has a slight denim look that fits in around town. The outer jacket also has light Heatseeker insulation in the body, sleeves, and hood for a touch of warmth without bulk. The zip-out 300-weight sweater fleece is seriously warm for cold and dry nights. Combine the two together and you're fully protected from winter's furies.

The Kallispell features underarm venting on the outer jacket so you can cool off on the chairlift while you ski. It's hood can cinch down tightly, or you can remove it on bluebird days. The hem cinches down tightly too so you don't have breezes blowing up your clothes.

  • HyVent 2L twill (71% nylon, 29% polyester denim look) jacket
  • 80g Heatseeker insulation in body, 60g in sleeves and hood of jacket
  • 300-weight sweater fleece removable liner (zip-out)
  • Underarm venting
  • Removable, adjustable hood
  • Hem cinch-cord

Great jacket!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I shopped online for a long time before settling on this jacket. I wanted something a little more fitted with a nice, tapered cut without losing the warmth-factor and this jacket is exactly that! My boyfriend even commented how well the jacket fit and looked on me.

I got the jacket in "Moonlight Ivory" and the inside jacket is a nice heathered brown with the outside jacket being a great silvery-off-white. I like that it isn't stark-white because it can get a little dirty and not be noticeable.

It's extremely warm! I wore it to Niagara Falls & Toronto in February and only wore a wool 3/4 zip-up underneath and was plenty warm. I love that the hood is easily adjustable and removable by a zipper (not velcro or snaps) and that the collar and pockets are lined. I also like that the sleeves of the outside jacket are smooth on the inside - this makes for quicker putting-on and putting-off when wearing the two jackets not attached to one another.

My boyfriend bought a 3-in-1 Columbia jacket similar to this one for himself and we both agree that the make of my jacket is nicer and seems more expensive, even though it wasn't! Overall, great jacket and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Perfect!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I spent a lot of time looking for a very warm jacket that was Triclimate so i can have a spring rain coat and a sweatshirt too. I live and work in Cleveland so the winters are pretty brutal. I bought this coat in a small and it is the perfect fit. I am 5'6 125 pounds. I love the colors. I was also a little nervous ordering from backcountry since I have never ordered from them before and I am happy that I did. The order was produced quickly and I did the standard shipping and it was here within 4 days of ordering it.

So glad I chose this coat.

It took me several weeks of shopping online to finally choose a coat. It is definitely the right choice. The fit is great. I have mostly used the outer jacket alone. Then we got a cold snap, so I added the inner jacket. It was so warm and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this coat.
