A smart pack for the tech-inclined traveler.
Carry your tablet, laptop, and phone safely and securely with the The North Face Kaban Transit Backpack. Whether you get around on foot, bike, or airplane, you'll appreciate the features on this pack. A dedicated back panel zips down and lays flat to meet TSA requirements. Access into the main compartment is through the zippered top, while a front D-door compartment features multiple organizer pockets for a tablet, phone, pens, and pretty much anything else you want to throw in there. With comfort in mind, The North Face equipped the pack with a padded, mesh back panel and injection-molded shoulder straps.

I needed a new backpack before returning to school (my old one have proved to be too small, it couldn't hold any textbooks, only a few notebooks and a laptop), and this backpack is amazing for going around campus and travel.
The way the pocket at the top of the backpack is oriented allows for the wearer to easily grab anything in the pouch while still wearing it with both arm straps, which is very nice for quickly grabbing a pen or keys. The main section to the bag is large and fits just about any book. The laptop compartment is amazing, and is great for travel since it lays flat (no need to take out the laptop for TSA). The side pouches for bottles hold my 48 oz. Nalgene and 40 oz. Hydro flask snugly. The compartment along the face of the backpack is amazingly built for carrying various chargers, pens, and other small things along with a dedicated iPad sleeve. My only complaint is that none of the pockets in this section are large enough to carry a MacBook Pro charger.
The back / strap design keeps your posture upright as well which is a plus.
Overall, awesome bag.
Hi Jason, This jacket is not waterproof. Not coated with a DWR either so probably not going to be too water resistant either. Please reach out to me directly if you have any other questions. - Matthew Pizza - Expert Gearhead
