I bought this pack for my girlfriend because she was in need of a new backpack for school and general, all-purpose use. she loves this pack. she doesn't take a laptop in it too often though I believe it does fit just fine. she's a petite 5'5" and it fits well. great pack overall.

I chose this backpack because of all the 5 feet tall reviewers who recommended it. I use this for commuting to and from work and don't really need all the compartments but they do come in handy when needed. I got mine for $50 since I believe it was last year's model and to me is still a lot to spend on a backpack. However, from what I've read, NF backpacks are durable. You might also consider a kid-sized backpack with the same type of features if you are a petite woman if cost is a factor to you.

I just got this backpack this week and I love it! I am so glad I went for a pack designed specifically for women because I have never before had a backpack that stayed put and didn't bounce around when I am walking, running across the street, etc. It fits right into the curves that men's and unisex packs never could.While it appears small, it holds plenty.

BUT the foamed and cushy back panels were far to stiff and flat to use the adjectives foam and cushy.
