Perfect Fit, Perfect Feel
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I bought the Iodin Softshell because of its sleek, fitted look and potential for all purpose use,and it has performed exactly as desired.
I live/work in San Francisco, so I wear the Iodin over my dress shirt on the way to work during the week, and I wear it at the park or on hikes in/around the Bay Area on the weekends. The slim fit and sleek profile go well with business casual attire, and it keeps the wind and light rain out. Also, the pockets, when unzipped, expose the mesh inner lining to allow air to flow inside the jacket keeping you nice and cool. The Iodin would work well as a bike to work jacket that provides a layer of wind protection that's also thin enough to keep you from sweating profusely.
Keep in mind that the Iodin is a very thin outer shell, so it doesn't provide much in the way of insulation. It works great over a hoodie or a fleece as long as you don't order it too small. I initially ordered a size small, but because of the fitted cut it was too tight for my taste, so I exchanged it for a medium (I'm 5'11, 155 lbs, slim).
