There isn’t a cloud in the sky and the air is so cold it almost burns. A little cold snap isn’t keeping you off the mountain, though. Bundle up in the Interlude Jacket from The North Face and keep snug when the air grows teeth. Beefy insulation on the torso keeps your core warm while a lighter fill in the sleeves allows you to maintain full range of motion. And if those clear cold skies turn cloudy and throw some precip your way, the water-resistant HyVent and fully-taped seams will help keep the water off.
- • Water-resistant breathable HyVent shell helps keep you dry without getting sweaty
- • Heatseeker Eco insulation uses recycled material to keep things easy on the environment
- • Lots of storage, including internal media and goggle pockets, gives you ample places to keep goodies
- • Full underarm zip-vents allow you dump excess heat while you are punishing the mountain
- • Snap-back powder skirt with gripper elastic keeps the cold off of your backside
Bottom Line: Stay comfortable in the cold.

Are the taped seams on the outside brown or black?

To answer your questions, the seam is a dark, dark chocolate brown. The lining and accents (zips) are also all brown. The jacket is a beautiful green color, even better looking in person and out in the daylight. Got lots of compliments on the color and (simple) style.
Functionally speaking, worth the money. Rain/snow completely beads off the jacket, and dries within minutes of going inside. The jacket totally keeps me dry and super warm in the cold. Vents are more than adequate at keeping me cool at the end of a run. No powder up the back of the jacket at all.

I totally agree. I dont care about the inside color (if the outside was puke green then i'd hesistate) but I care about whether or not its warm, and good for mountain recreation use in the winter.

All you're concerned about is the color? Really? Maybe you should take it out and see if it has any real flaws because once you're skiing, no one cares about the color... not to talk sh*%, but that's how it is.
Change me.
